I suspect 95%* of musicians’ incomes are from regular jobs, family and friends. Most of the rest make money as musicians by teaching, working in music shops etc. And the tiniest number of them make enough money to live on from their actual music. Being an artist is noble and wonderful and necessary but it doesn’t make money* a number I made up but it feels right
Unfortunately true, but the term has been casually misused for decades. All you can do is remind people - when it’s appropriate - that OCD is a real and crippling condition. It’s like throwing around a word like “crazy” (or possibly “crippling”)
