Exactly. Compare it to humans, and there are groups of four people uncomfortable and unwilling to deal with neither a spider, a squirrel, nor an angry cat.

Very crappy. Though, I will say, oddly satisfying. But also, this should be far away from the entrance, taking up 2 car spots rather than a side walk no one can bypass without scrapping against shrubbery or going around.

Make sure the blocks are either secured to the legs or, probably better, have slot carved out that the legs fit into, at least an inch, probably 2-3, deep. That way it can't slide off and fall on the dog, or get knocked off easily if the dog lifts up quickly. Unlikely to happen, but feel better safe than sorry in the this case.

Kek okay that's both funny and pretty cool.

Absolutely. Doesn't give the uninitiated audience time to realize what is going on, not even a full couple of minutes. It pays off for those who are curious and trying to figure out what is going on.

Your sorcery no longer works on me, upside down paitners.

Yeah that's probably the actual answer. Even with small projects in the US, like an addon my dad had done to his house years ago, he caught them trying to cut corners, and while he prevented some of it, they still fucked it up to save a buck. I wouldn't be surprised if Japan's knowledge is common, and seeing a few articles it's not just Japan working on Earthquake resistance. But the cost is probably not worth it to developers, like you said. Building required, safety not.

Yeah I think that's the one I've got.

Dunno, that's kinda cool, might want it for my wall.

Probably trying to be respectful? Maybe, dunno.

Hm, step step step step step

I agree with your statements. There are certainly things worth being cynical about, but this is not one of them. At worst, it's a fun skit, at best it's a genuine moment.

Yup, and further, the "stumbling block" example, as a Christian, really bothers me. Paul says "Therefore let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather decide never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother." Seems pretty clear this is something we should be gauging our own actions with, not using it as a judgement against others and most certainly not for our status. It's a verse that's about showing love by not doing things that might hurt a friend.

It would have been super nice if Jesus and the Apostle's teachings made it clear that church leaders should not be hypocritical, should be above reproach, and not abuse their status... oh wait. Well, surely Jesus would have blamed this person for his own response too as it's not like Jesus was ever around all types of people, sinners, sex workers, and corrupt leaders... oh wait. Well it's not like Paul was using the example of a "stumbling block" to gauge your own actions with... oh wait.

Workers: Make one minor mistake (or just exists) = fired.
Company: Cost millions or billions in unrepairable damage to people, the ecosystem, and in money = Bailout and a headpat.

Yeah, we gotta have some kind of system, but every system is easily abused by power when unchecked, and capitalism has been sick for a very long time.

80s Movies and Almost All Anime have something in common.

Yeah the typical mask doesn't do that. But a criminal with lots of money or access to good tech like GG, could potentially create a mask that looks real enough that you would think an actual demon was running around, instead of a guy wearing a shoddy mask. Which would be a strong extra layer of obscuring one's identity.

Tacky but useful. I love that so many tried to cram as much info as they could so you didn't have to scroll or dig as much. Busy and messy, for sure, but now it's two ads for every one item you want on many sites, with lots of pointless scrolling.

Yeah, this is a very silly post. Especially when we see corporations and politicians influence Science for the worst at times.

That White Water Rafting one seems incredibly terrifying. Hopefully no one was lost or seriously injured.
