Interesting. But, I was only stating what I've seen, like on YouTube and everyone is taking it offensively. Cops are fucked up. I watched a video of a guy magnet fishing, finds a gun, calls the cops like he's supposed to, then gets cited for illegal fishing.
Yeah but a lawyer could argue that the sign doesn't specify what type of fishing is illegal. Anyway, I wasn't defending cops, I was just saying what I've seen on YouTube not like I know what's going on in every situation. I've seen videos where the magnets fishers do the right thing by calling the found a gun and then get a citation for illegal fishing. It's fucked

The ones I've seen, the magnet fishers all seem to be doing it illegally, i.e. doing it from a bridge that says "No Fishing" then all that possible "evidence" could be argued it was obtained illegally and not users in court. Maybe some times the cops know that, not like we see what happens after cops pick it up and what they have to do with it.
