This is a final request. My name is Ollie, I’m FuturamaReferences best friend for over 25 years. His name is Greg. He was admitted to the hospital on July 27th. He lost his battle August 2nd at only 34. My wife and I are now the legal guardians of his son. He spoke very highly of this site for a long time, referred to it as his family, met several new friends, and has a few dozen numbers in his phone with “Imgur” next their names. These are my words but one of his requests was what he wanted to say here and even the gifs to use, he was very specific. I don’t know how to use this site that great though. He showed me how to do this but I don’t know I’m doing it right.
“Hey there friends! This is FuturamaReferences! I’m not feeling amazing so this might be short. First, I want you all to know I love you all. This community is the best I’ve ever been apart of. You have helped me through fun times and rough times and for that I thank you. Second, I’m sorry, I lost the fight. I tried my best. Anything donated will go to his cremation and the remainder to his son. I’ll reply once I’m able to but seeing how much he was loved here is making me cry. He is the best man I’ll ever know.

Thanks for that. He kept asking me to join this site but I never did. So much love for him here. Feels weird using his tag or name. We planned on the worst case scenario since day one. Never thought it’d come, just always hoped for the best. Lot of people saying I should stay in his memory. Don’t feel right but nothing does right now.

Yeah, he did. He watched the second one in his hospital bed with his son. I’ll never forget that moment for good and bad reasons. Restarted the series this weekend, my wife hasn’t ever seen it. It felt like he was sitting next to me while we were watching. I’ve seen it a lot all because of him. Kinda wish I appreciated more back then. It hits different now.

I’ve been reading old comments because it’s near the “anniversary” of his passing, I just want to say thank you. It was honestly one of his final wishes and I’ve never regretted granting it. I’ve met so many beautiful people that he knew here. Apologies for the super late response. I go on here everyday to read his comments or responses.

Him and I have always been there for each other. I know if the positions were switched, he’d be doing the same. I’m not sure what a few things you said mean but I will message you when I can. Never been here until him and I did a walk through on how to post what and how he wanted. He asked me to join a lotta times. Using his account feels weird but a lot of people are suggesting I stay in his memory and honor. Wouldn’t even know how to go about doing that. Feels off but everything does right now. I don’t know.

We'll support you either way. The community traditionally was Reddit but for adults. That's slipped over time but it's really supportive once you're in the tent. Usersub which is the start of the pipeline is really effective at filtering shit content from good content and the people in the tent and not. You as well! Greg always said he was a “cashew,” half catholic from his mother and half Jewish from his father! This was the first year I’ve ever celebrated Hanukkah and Christmas as I normally have just done Christmas, but Lucas knew all the prayers in Hebrew and walked us through it. I did look up how to do it properly but the little man knew just what to do.
