Yeah, I already tried that, but found out that in order to be able to use an adapter the laptop itself needs to natively have HDMI supported, so if the laptop doesn't have a HDMI port, then it won't natively have HDMI support...
But yeah, I was saving up to upgrade my PC, but now I'm thinking of just buying a viable laptop, I haven't decided yet as the laptop I want is over $4k. It's gonna be a while so I'm going to give you follow (If that's cool) so we're up to date for when I'm back!
Thanks for saying so, yeah, I'm a bit out of the loop as my PC is down and I foolishly bought a laptop with no HDMI/Display port so I'm shit out of luck for the time being, but thanks for inspiring me to post my stuff here when I get back to my kick ass drawing monitor... which sitting there unused right now. :^(
