Okay, so I'm not crazy. I'm not great at spotting AI, and I've never worked with glass at all, but the nearness to the flame that he holds it barehanded, and the speed with which he is grabbing parts that were just in the flame is making me doubt the veracity of this video.

I *just* told this story in another post, but I used to live in a basement apartment where the only window/ventilation was at ground level and the screen had a decent sized hole in it, and a black widow decided to put a web over that hole. It was a great, mutually beneficial arrangement up until she had babies. But before that point she'd eaten a whole ton of bugs trying to get in.
Shelob was a lot like the black widow that made a web over a hole in the screen of the only window/ventilation source in my apartment. It was a mutually beneficial arrangement (until she reproduced, but if memory serves Shelob didn't do that)

Oh hell yes. I've only recently started doing some reading about accessible mouse options (someone on a local forum was trying to find some solutions to their mobility limitations), and while they're fascinating, holy shit are they expensive. I've been background thinking about how one would tackle this, but I'm more mechanically than electrically inclined. But I always want accessibility to be more accessible, because dammit we don't need to make things even harder for people.

You might be surprised. I find incredible fulfillment from doing work that is important and helps the lives of everyone be better, and know a lot of people who feel the same way. It's one of the reasons I work in government, supporting infrastructure. I'm not saying that it would be some magical utopia where no one has to work and everything still somehow gets done, but I do think that the potential of a different way of life in this vein exists.
If all of mine and everyones' needs were met, I would take on a shift of sewer de-clogger periodically. It's a chore at this point, but on a sociatal level.
But for real, welcome. Remember to keep looking, re-examining the world around you and your interactions with it (and the people in it), and consider your actions accordingly to try to at the very least not perpetuate the rampant sexism, and even better to actively speak out against it. Never stop trying to learn and grow, and asking questions to try to further understand the perspectives of others
