You can take a razor and cut the old caulk out. Sand the top of wood/trim and wipe, than caulk it making no junk in the caulk
Holes just means inconsistent. It should be buttery smooth
You can see the holes in the caulking in some areas ( runs and corners) making it more prone to water damage/leaks faster
Caulking* imo looking at the corners the caulking looks like it has dust in it or cared for way less than the consistent run

The caulking is killing me... the taper didn't make the calling flush but a painter can fix it ... all in all if you paid more than other 1.
