Am I missing something? They can co-exist. I'm 60+ and I grew up using imperial measurements. (imperial sounds like it's the kind Vader would use) but I can and do use both. It helps that a liter is a quart, basically.

If you like turn based strategy games, like the Civ games, I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Gigantic space battles too! If you do get it and want tips, let me know, I would love to help. (although I only look at the site on Tue Wed Fridays.)
A space colonization and warfare game. Steam had it for cheap last year (8?) It's turn based. Probably just beats out Civ2 as my fave.
