Ah. That makes sense. Thank you.

Why is the headline all about him when his wife does it with him?

I don't understand how the boss 'might be a dick' for his behavior (your words), but his behavior isn't inappropriate. Seems completely contradictory to me, dipshit.

...factual but inappropriate...you're so close to getting it.

And the sun can fuck right off.

Anything over 3000K can fuck off and I will die on this hill.

Because they are stupid. Sometimes publishers incentivise it with pre-order exclusive content but 9/10 times it's cosmetic garbage or early access so that you can be a beta tester for them so they can get their day one patches ready (when it even works, see the recent Halo release).

There are many factors in this, but I think the one that resonates the most with me is the destruction of the second hand market leaving Sony with a total monopoly for games on the PS ecosystem. Steam has competition, which forces them to have sales to entice buyers to come to Steam over other platforms. What will Sony's incentive be? There is also Sony's habit of removing 'purchased' media from user accounts, a threat mitigated on PC by the relative ease of piracy.

I guess I should have phrased that better. Trump will TRY TO keep it after he leaves office. We'll see what happens.

I got hit with one in Portland, Oregon years back. At that time, the rule was that if the pictured driver was not you, you could say it was not you and they would dismiss the ticket (presumably after verifying your claim). They ASKED you to name the pictured driver but it was not required, even to get your ticket dismissed.

Trump will likely keep the plane when he leaves office.

In a recent senate hearing, Hegseth was asked to commit that this plane, being retrofitted at a cost to taxpayers of approximately $400m (offical source) to $1b (estimate of some congressmen), would not leave US inventory with Trump at the end of his term and he flat out refused.

The courts will have something to say, but we'll see how effective they are.

Might be better to just not travel here if you can avoid it.

I don't know. The tire came off was the end result. I don't recall any of the bolts being broken, which would imply some had been tightened on, but it's been a while. My mom has pictures somewhere that could tell me, but that's a hassle.

Yeah it was when they were backing it out to return it to me. I said the driver just backed into a pole (I did not talk to the driver). They came out to look at the car and said they saw no evidence it happened. The driver was nowhere to be found. I pointed out the paint flakes from the pole on my bumper and they said there was nothing to suggest they caused it. I should have insisted, because fuck them, but it just wasn't worth it to me.

Oh okay. Glad it wasn't too bad. Thanks for all the advice! It helps a lot.

I'm curious, but I have a feeling that the story of your 3rd surgery will...not have the calming affect I am looking for. Maybe I'll loop back in a couple months once I've had my surgery.

Thank you for the insight! It does a lot to put my mind at ease.

I asusme rubbing the eye, even gently while awake, is discouraged for that week? That's gonna be hard to do if it feels all gritty.

While the idea of a political dynasty makes me run for this hills, and I know nothing about him including his competency or suitability for office, it certainly would be funny to see the conservatives lose their shit.

That happened to me. I watched it happen then they denied it, saying the damage was there already. It was minor and my car's a piece of shit so I deemed it not worth the hassle, but yeah, fuck Les Schwab.

Oh and one time Discount Tire forgot to put the fucking lug nuts on one of my mom's tires and it came off on the highway. Luckily everyone was fine and they paid for everything including a temp rental. I like them for owning their mistake and making it right.

What is it like being conscious? What do you see and feel during the procedure?

5 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Was there any reason you were sedated? And where do you live (maybe different procedures for different countries)? I'm having this soon and they told me total sedation was not doable even though I'm extraordinarily anxious about it.

Can you elaborate a little more? I'm having this done soon and am scared out of my mind. Specifically about how long it takes, what's it like just before and during (what can you see, what does it feel like), and what is recovery like (time, pain, vision DURING recovery)?

To be fair, the commenter is parroting OP in the title.

I've been called 'chink' or even 'chinaman' more times than I can remember. I'm Japanese. Many people have said something along the lines of 'so what?' or 'same thing'. In my experience there is a massive subset of (American) people who do not get that there are multiple cultures and peoples in Asia. It seems like it really is one amorphous unit that is 'asia' to them and I suspect it is the same with any continent not dominated by white people or western culture.

I was prepared for it to be similar to the one where the guy eats the burger then becomes the burger. This one was....shall we say...an escalation.

to leave or they become bad cops.

6 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Now some people are myopic enough to believe that there is in fact, no such thing as a good cop ever, anywhere. This believe is counter productive, as a society without law enforcement is, frankly, unrealistic - and not allowing for the existence of the change you want to see: how do we get to police reform? With or without laws being passed, it requires the influx of 'good cops'. The sentiment behind 'ACAB' is the the system in place is actively hostile to 'good cops', so they either are forced

6 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

You have to understand the nuance and meaning of 'ACAB'- it is not literal. It means that a 'good cop' gets ostracized and pushed out of being a cop, leaving no 'good cops'. This, naturally, does allow for the existence of a 'good cop', if only temporarily. A cop doing their job to the highest standard is that temporary 'good cop'. It is up to them if they choose to remain in a system designed to break them.
