This. Nice that he did it when he didn't have to, but in other countries laws would prevent you from firing people on short notice and rehiring three months later.

there should absolutely be otc options, but maybe not for high amplification

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Because you can potentially damage your remaining hearing more if an otc one amplifies too much. So for low-grade amplification

If you have more than just mild hearing loss, you can't just amplify everything, it has to be fitted to your hearing curve.

It does a little bit. I would assume that something really high-tech would do without strings.

access to contraceptives and eduction about them yet.

in the range several percents, maybe 10 or even a bit more. Even if it was used completely correct. And that's not even talking about

Also "assuming the mother wasn't raped it was her choice" - no? All birth control methods can fail. Over a decade it's often something

Jenner is trans, but she's firmly in the republican camp and often not supporting trans rights, e.g in sports.

The joke is that there are multiples of one thing. Here, three songs (Unforgiven I,II and III). Another would e.g. Louis as a french king

advantage there is. And it depends on the sport too, for sprint or weight stuff it seems to help more, but not so much for endurance

Is it? There may be some individual records, but nothing at a broad level afaik. And there's no clear scientific data how much of an 1/2

2500 kcal? What kind of abomination of a pizza do they serve? It should maybe be 1500 kcal at most.

The changes are the worst part, but always DST would be worse than always standard time.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Not in terms of public health, it messes with sleep cycles. It's not definite, but science indicates standard time is better.

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

This, the studies that have been done on this also show that DST messes with sleep cycles, standard time would be healthier.

So are you planning to "not attack" other countries like you "not attacked" Ukraine?

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Of course there is, but there is *always* price gouging. The current increase is not majorly based on that.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

for US oil, which results in price rises. Again Dan Price is just spouting underinformed Twitter populist nonsense.

4 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 7

That's not how a global market works. The US may not import that much russian oil, but other countries do. Less russian oil - more demand

In for a penny (dress), in for a pound

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Huh? No, that's not how it works. I don't know how you get the idea. A scale readjustment makes sense if everything below A or B is unused.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Not in this instance. The UK scale is just the old EU one that was in use a few years before. The classes just mean different things.

4 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 4

The EU readjusted the scale for several products because they were all at least A, and they had to resort to A+++. Old A is new F or E etc.

some clunky exposition? The magic system itself is fairly hard. Though as a series it's closer to LotR than GoT, so I get that part

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not sure what you mean by unexplained magic tbh. Yes, we aren't yet given the exact rules for it all, but how would you do that without

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The first episodes are meh, the later ones are good, though not (yet?) great.
