I'll bet you 90% of servers at any restaurant most of us are likely to go to would struggle to even tell you the "pause vs finished" difference (which, incidentally, is the only one I ever learned).

As soon as you understand how linear regression and similar ''predictive" techniques form the core of AI's "Pattern recognition" you should also get a better idea of how reliable (not) an AI's pattern prediction is.

Yep, I'm into fanfiction and I've gotten to a point where I can tell if something is either AI-generated or AI-edited (Grammarly, a popular grammar check tool, is now AI-powered), possibly translated. So many otherwise cool ideas wasted on what I'll call "Machine style", which is technically perfect but just... a pain to read more than a chapter or two of.
fortunately, the sound of coffee grinding isn't disgusting, it's just disturbingly loud. ESPECIALLY for something you do in the morning.

I have little experience with the difference between renting and leasing, and I live in a country with renter protections anyway (You can't raise rent more than x% per year on a current renter, and all 'extra' costs such as heating etc have to be itemized once a year so there's limits on what they can hide in there (not that they don't try).
Ironically, "Semites" are people from a collection of ancient civilizations in Southeast Asia, often defined by the language they speak natively. Which is Hebrew, yes, but also Arabic. So Israel's actions towards Palestine are incredibly anti-semitic. And those are just the surviving groups, Ancient Phoenicia is another.
... Just curious, does the landlord have any sort of contractual responsibility towards you as renter or can the house fall down around your ears without any recourse? And I mean that literally.

What in the actual blazes.... I mean, it was that hot about a week ago here, but it's FINALLY entered autumn weather here in Germany since then.
I mean.. I've got over 2 months' worth of salary, and still got several more years to go, so that's good, right?Ofc I also live in Europe so I basically get part of it taken out of my paycheck and then matched by my employer. If I count THAT, I will likely actually make that deadline. Just a pity it's equally likely I won't be able to retire before 75 at the rate things are going.
The way our entire economy is structured around endless growth is one of the biggest problems. Even retirement funds are dependent on companies growing in value endlessly. I wonder if instead of stock market trading on shares, we restructured to dividend payouts, and how we could manage that. Surely some companies still do that, rather than trying to drive the share price up instead?
Yeah, I'd just say anything that leaves significant traces that aren't sweat or similar things.Going there in clothes covered in wet paint or loose glitter would probably also be a bad idea.

Yep, even here in Germany, bottles and cans of Arizona are still below 1 euro per pint (or 2 euro per liter). You can get 1.5 liter bottles for like 2-euro something pretty easily, and occasionally there's 2-liter bottles of Arizona available.I'm enjoying it while it lasts because there's an extra tax on sugary drinks planned in Germany at the moment and I doubt Arizona's pricing will make it through the intended flat fee, they'd be heading straight into loss territory if they did.
#7 Im somewhat conflicted, this shows all the hallmarks of AI-generated video but the IG watermark seems legitimate.The short cuts, the weird angles, the 'everything looks slightly airbrushed' (especially the steps, which should be crisp), weird pumpkin colors, all of it. Only the surprisingly fitting lettering font above the door and the apparent lack of placement changes contraindicate it (and the apparently legit IG).
Unfortunately it's so detailed that most of it isn't legible.
I miss when advertising at least still involved art on occasion, and the better ads were something worth looking at even if you didn't like the product. Now it's just generated slop, which is even worse than poorly photoshopped stock fotos.
They're probably not going to straight up "Block" voting, but why would they need to in a winner-takes-all system where they only need to win by the barest of % to get total control?
It's one of my nightmares, and one of the reasons I'm very glad to have a job, because that is basically the only alibi I have. I don't have clubs or people I spend time with, so I"d have no solid alibi against false accusations like that.But the sheer amount of resources they poured into tracking someone that ALLEGEDLY stole a $25 package? The average package service causes that much in damages per DRIVER just by handling the packages roughly.
This is a really cool project, I had no idea this many native (northern) american languages were still preserved. (Some of the lyrics seem to have gotten lost a little, but that's hardly the most iomportant thing). I'm fairly sure I can identify the one native that sung in Nightwish's "Creek Mary's Blood" song as Arapaho now, or at least that's the closest out of these 17.
Hollywood loves going on about the drug cartels and whatnot, but if you look at the sort of cartels the US seems to have....
In case you needed any MORE reasons to not fly casually. It must really suck to live in a country where rail lines are an objectively worse way to travel even accounting for the delays common in Europe.
