Did we watch the same video?? They clearly WERENT a safe distance as the bison was able to run right up to them and fling the guy into the air after they clearly walked up for pictures. Its not the bisons fault, its an animal that was being territorial. As bison usually are. And how do we know the cameraman filming it all wasnt in their car? The rangers say to stay in your vehicle around bison for a reason and this video should have made it obvious as to why...
You gotta remember that in Yellowstone, you're in THEIR territory. If you're having a picnic and bison are walking up, that means your picnic is over and you're getting to safety.
The rangers do say to stay in your car. Bison can turn aggro unexpectedly and charge you fast even if you're standing a distance away.
