lol, a science project of mine in high school used this premise for colonizing the moon. The major problem with using it on Earth, as far as my high school research went, was for the microwaves to carry enough power to be worth while the beam would vaporize everything in its path to the ground including dust and clouds and birds.
why... why did I actually try to envision that... -1 for making me think of that and +1 for grudging respect.
Don't forget the abuse of minors! :D
*sigh* Well, this is my sign to stop internetting for the day... Like, if they were worried he would drive the car off, just block it in with one of their cars instead.

I always liked Tea Leoni and separately, always wanted to get a longer look at a particular background character in A League of Their Own. Then one day, I actually watched the credits and... mindblown.gif
It was a post of yours about a birb accepting you. I didn't know it at the time, though. Had to go find something, a comment or post.

Well, aside from a pretty cringy post that I hearby repudiate, not too much on that account I'm unhappy with...
Ugh. I've come back to downvote this post, that is my own. I think I thought it was funny at the time but it ain't no more. Probably wasn't then.
Yep, old account that I still can't get into. /gallery/C6Mw3pN/comment/70428789
Yep, found it. Best comment I ever made.
Thanks!
Nope, looks like that was my old account I can't get into anymore. Probably. Haven't checked. Let's go see!
"Am I dead? I hope I'm dead." Is, I think, the comment I made when last I saw this and it was (maybe still is, dunno, haven't checked) my highest rated comment ever. Let's go see!

(2/2)... wealth on paper going haywire, they crash the world trying to profit or cut losses. Skynet just keeps us locked out of our nukes while it effectively flicks the world leaders in the nuts and voila, as a species we're on our knees in a handful of years and Skynet can keep it that way since all efforts to stand back up involve a dependence on computers and it never even has to take over any military hardware or make its own.
... and instead it worked its way into stock trading AIs, making millisecond transactions and then reacting to them, turning the global stock markets on their heads. And when people "in control" of the trading agents refuse to pull the plug because whoever stops trading last wins, Skynet knows that it's right to end us and proceeds to drive the markets mad. The markets are not the economy but a bunch of people with a bunch of levers on the economy think it is so when they react to their... (1/2)
