A big part of the problem is that vaccines have been _too_ effective. The vast majority of people have no concept of how fragile life used to be. The "you're not stronger than a virus" doesn't land because they didn't live through a time when 25% of people didn't even survive childhood. They think they're safe from serious disease without actually understanding why.
Voice training is genuinely the hardest fucking thing I've ever tried to learn. That includes both software engineering and combat medicine.

I had that same concern going in. But, really, just be honest about what your transition goals are. Any clinic providing GAHT is there to help you, not dismiss you. Hell, when I started HRT, I didn't even identify as fully trans yet -- just non-binary/gender-fluid. They still helped me get started without any issues at all.
It's a little bit different for us, because they have to check both estrogen and testosterone levels. Blood test is every 3-6 months until it's roughly stable in the right range. (Though even that is a bit flexible and depends on symptoms and progress.)

Laser hair removal on my face was_easily_ one of the most painful things I've experienced. Each session hurt less than the one before, though, and it's not so bad now. Really not looking forward to following up with electrolysis for the white hairs. :'(
