Use the metal blade, not a multipurpose one. The pipe wasn't well braced, all the buzzing in the soil is lost energy. If it's anchored in concrete, the sawzall will cut a lot faster.Also, it helps if you kink the pipe away from your blade as you cut, the binding up both heats and wears the blade, slows down the cut. Same as using a hack saw.
Dildos Georg is an outlier and should not be counted.

Some objects are scalable, like windows when you see both interior and exterior shots. Once you know the size of a ship you can calculate it in comparison to other ships. Other times official sources will give dimensions but even then there can be discrepancies. Star Wars tends to have a lot of exclamation marks in their dimensions, Star Trek and Stargate are usually pretty good though.
