I took a handgun course years ago. During our lesson they supervised us during range time, let us shoot little .22 pistols. During one of my rounds I ended up with a spent case flying up and getting in between the bottom of my glasses and my cheek. I slowly set the gun down, pointed down range, and removed my glasses. I left with a burn on my cheek but guess what? I didn't negligently discharge the fucking gun.
