I have no negative experience of collision with animals but I’m still for finding ways to help nature.
My first thought was “5 trans shooters in 10 years?!” Because to me that seems so many. But then you have to put that into the context of 500+ shootings a year. That’s 5/5000+ and that’s just insane. 2 mass shootings per day! We have 2 per year and it’s too many. You guys are so fucked. If I had kids there I’d be fleeing the country.
At this point they are complicit by their lack of action.

Yep. In isolation I wouldn’t be concerned and context is key but in the UK we use a National Early Warning Score when assessing. If 60-70 is desirable. 50-60 is low, 40-50 is dangerous and <40 is an emergency. Going the other direction had a bit more of a range. We don’t start to take notice until 90, we aren’t very worried until 110, and we don’t panic unless you get to 130. A little bit low is worse than a little bit fast
I’m a nurse and I would be happy to be near the concern point. 60 is fine. Like really healthy fine. Below 59 on someone not actively athletic is more concerning. I wouldn’t blink twice at 60-85 on an average person.
But the surely the people in LA are going to feel like they are getting a worse deal because their vote counts for less than a friend living in the Mojave.
“Leave it”? Why should someone else have to clean up your trash. He’s American, he’s your problem. You aren’t sending him elsewhere to be dealt with.
Don’t plan for something you have no guarantee of. Remember when Putin first invaded Ukraine and we were all sure he was on high dose Dex probably to treat a large tumor and dying, or when Charles took the throne and the media gave him less than a year because his diuretics weren’t working.
I watched the X-Files in the early 00s and to me then Duchovny was a middle aged man and I couldn’t understand people getting thirsty over him. I’m rewatching now at a similar age to him and I totally get it. David Duchovny hovering above me, American Heathcliff brooding and comely, David Duchovny, why won’t you love me?
They also said it about Putin when he started the war. It was all “have you seen his fingers, look at his face shape, he’s definitely on dexamethasone he must be dying.
They all said the same about Charles when he took the throne. He’s still there.
I think either way it’s going to be millions dead.

I think sometimes this sentiment is a very neat trick for blaming gays for homophobes. While there has been some evidence that homophobic men can have homosexual tendencies not all homophobes are homos. Most of them are just nasty cis-het people
All death is sad. All death. They were not given a choice about enlisting. Imagine if you were forced into a war you didn’t agree with by a government you don’t approve of, sent somewhere you don’t want to be and then killed. That’s not to be celebrated.
