Eradicated diseases brought back, by stupid, fucking Republicans: Measles. I wouldn't be surprised to see Polio return.

Dementia 13 is an awful, awful film. It makes Carnival of Souls look good! It makes Plan 9 from Outer Space look great! But hey, it's easy to make mistakes when just starting out. It took Coppola awhile to reach his greatness. He wasn't like Orson Welles, who made his first movie at age 25 and it's frequently called "the greatest movie ever made." Perhaps Coppola & Welles have an inverse relationship with film-making? Because Welles later stuff was pretty bad, and Coppola's amazing.

I think it is time to update this:

Read John Delorean's autobiography: On a clear day you can see General Motors. Holy fuuuuuck.

I am seeing an AI commercial staring Chuck Norris kicking ass with chicken wings. At the end, his 3 kids come on and say: "We're totally ok with this AI slop of our father! They paid us lots of money! Yay!"

I used to be a Mortgage Underwriter. I watched a co-worker use a calculator to divide by 10.

My mom had Dementia and I was the only family member who cared. I cared for her for 15 months before she started a fire and I had to get her into a care facility. Even then, I was the only one who cared about her. Alcohol was my only friend. She passed away 3 years ago and I've cut my drinking way down. But I'm still 35 lbs overweight, high blood pressure & cholesterol. I drink now because I'm bored. But I'm exercising and just signed up for 3 classes at the local community college.

I saw this on Imgur and I use it as motivation to try and not have a drink. The OP titled it "what being sober for 826 days looks like." Sorry, I don't have the link to the post.

Have you seen Prince of Darkness? The ending is quite good.

Oh, I am not for it. I am simply acknowledging the reality. I wish things were better. I wish people and politicians acted, with what is best for the nation over personal gain and profit. But that is not the way things are.

The United States was built on greed, graft, grift, murder, genocide and a "Might makes Right" policy. Despite protestations of being "Christian" and "God Loving" we are a terribly hateful, mean and violent people. Doing something for benefit of all is not how 'Muricans act. If it was, we wouldn't be watching the "Donald Trump destroys America" tour.

All those memories lost . . . like tears in the rain. Time to die.

Yeah, you're right. But we're both referencing events from 1953-54. So, 70+ years ago? I think my ludicrous comment might still have a point.

Right! Let the auto industry fail! That's 3 million people unemployed, plus another 3 million working in derivative companies. Airline industry is another million people, plus 500,000 in derivative companies. Finance employs 9 million. You like ordering online? Well nothing gets shipped by air now. Every delivery takes 2-3 times as long. Inflation hits 24% Unemployment is at 15%. Stock market collapse. You can't get a loan to save your business or home. Brilliant idea, mate.

The CIA has only once successfully installed a loyalist ruler: the Shah of Iran. How did that turn out, hmmm? Please stop ascribing mythical prowess to the Central Idiot Agency.

Billy Bob was scary good. I can see how he parleyed this into the Landman series. He tapped a certain vein of . . . something.

I like Bokeem Woodbine. I've only seen him in 2 things and thought he was great in both.

Molly was a very likable and relatable character in Season 1. So was Lou. The relationship between Lou and Molly felt real. Believable. Lou's gravitas in Season 1 - just telling a few stories - was heavy. It was good. Then in Season 2 when you actually see the shit . . . F me.

Great writing, acting and directing both seasons. Really good experience all around.

I just requested it from the local library. I like being surprised by actors.

Great recommendation. I'll look into it. Thank you.

That's great feedback. Thank you. I think the worst thing so far: it's an 11 episode story, they have to pad out to 13 episodes for TV. Both Season 1 & 2.

I don't know Varga, but Billy Bob Thorton as Lorne Malvo in season 1 was quite good. Talk about a man who just understood who he was, why he was and where he was. He had a certain awareness/enlightenment about him. Like in that scene where he gets stopped by Gus Grimly and Thorton just talks him out of the traffic stop. I didn't like Season 1 so much, because of the hen-pecked Lester Nygaard. I fast-forwarded thru some of it. Like: "Yeah, I get it. He's weak and bullied."
