What this is really describing is that inexperienced women are more vulnerable to manipulative arseholes, before they learn to recognise red flags and realise what they actually want out of a relationship. Unfortunately, the Nice Guy draws the conclusion that it pays to be a manipulative arsehole, because they get what he wants (access to vulnerable young women).

I won't tell you not to vote; I'm telling you that if the Democratic Party doesn't get its shit together and continues to field moderate centrist candidates, your vote won't really matter all that much. The corporate Democrats contributed to the circumstances that gave rise to Trump, and only a radical break with the current course can take the wind out from under the wings of the fascist eagle.

I remember one episode in particular, a carpenter or something, who was determined to build his house by hand, using materials gathered from the plot of land he had (as much out of principle as a lack of means, I believe). It took him years, and was a continuous work in process, but it was this gorgeous and unique house built around natural tree shapes, carved wood, and traditional joints. Even a pully system to open doors.

Please, with the advances we made in predictive algorithms in the decades since the dissolution of the USSR, we could provide for everyone. If Amazon can micro-target personalised coffee mugs to people, why couldn't it be used for good? Multinational corporations are already managing massive internal economies from a central board. The idea that a planned economy is doomed to fail rather than merely infeasible with 20th century tech is capitalist propaganda.
Also forgot the "no one should be poor" under communism as well.

You know, it struck me that there have been four general elections in Norway since 2011. Four elections in which 77 fewer people were able to vote for the left. I know it's not much in the grand scheme of things, but it still doesn't feel fair, democratically speaking. The law can punish the killer, but it cannot correct the outcomes of every election for a lifetime afterwards. Essentially, they kill us, and they're politically rewarded. And this isn't the only time.
