As a passive-agressive asshat, I approve.

I finally quit after ten years of smoking (one month!), now to get my fiance to quit as well... it's gonna be tough.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Great job! It'll be worth it in the end.

"Im gonna open up my own restaurant with 2 smoking sections, ultra and regular. And only men can eat there, naked men, sitting around 1/

11 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

A campfire, eating meat, raw fucking red meat, right off the bone! And if someone has a heart attack from eating too much red meat, 2/

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Fuck him, we'll throw him in the fire, more meat for the other meat eaters, yeaaahhhh.....cause you gotta have goals"- dennis leary

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I quit smoking fags last year.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I mean I don't like it when people smoke around me either, but take it down at least 3 notches.

11 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 16

Welp my dinner plans have gone up in smoke.

11 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 5

"I'd quit smoking if I wasn't sure I'd become one of you"- Bill Hicks, probably.

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 3

"Bunch of useless, whiny maggots"- Bill Hicks, again.

*Potentially slightly extended lifespan. Removing a risk factor doesn't guarantee more life.

11 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 3

Actually smokers are responsible for saving more lives than they hurt. They pump so much money into the NHS because of heavy tax on tobacco.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Acceptable Discrimination Targets: White Guys, Christians, Smokers. I pity those who are all 3 at once.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

As a smoker, I still laughed

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Does anyone else here only ever smoke when they drink?

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

well, shut up and don't take my money then.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

In my city, smoking is banned in ALL buildings and 8ft outside of each building, 20 ft for govt buildings. been like this for years.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

We would picket, but the chanting and sign waving is too much exercise and we start coughing too much then we need a cigarette.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 4

Thank you. The only thing I want that has to do with smoke in a restaurant is smoked salmon.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

Quit smoking a year and a half ago, after 3 year chain smoking. Best decision I ever made

11 years ago | Likes 81 Dislikes 3

Congrats! Good job. I'm sure it was hard, but it's worth it.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

A year and a half after smoking for eleven years. It's possible. Just Damn hard

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

yay!! congrats. my next door neighbour smokes a cigarette every hour or so. always smell it. nice job

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

how. help, how.

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Well, like they said above. It is really tough, and you'll be hacking all that crap back up. But eachtime you resist is a victory. Be proud!

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

kittt3n! Personally, get a rechargeable e-cig, it's different for everyone, but this truly helps me...been a few months now, you can do it:)

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I know right, how great is it to not feel like total shit in the morning after you just wake up?

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I'm a nonsmoker and I feel like total shit in the mornings...

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nah mate, trust me, magnify that groggy feeling 10x, add chest pains and that's what it feels like to be a smoker.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Why the hell do people smoke then? I'm not seeing any advantages

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

ouch

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

But.. withdrawl SUCKS ASS

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I feel like non-smokers are assholes to smokers, regardless of actually knowing them. Stereotyping as rude, if you will. Ironic

11 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 2

I'm not rude about it, but I also don't approve it. Have seen people dying of lungcancer and I just hope that you don't go through that.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Im only rude to smokers 1 if they are smoking in a nonsmoking place (indoor concerts) 2 they blatantly blow it in my face.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nonsmokers die everyday.

11 years ago | Likes 104 Dislikes 23

Sleep tight!

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

people without cancer die everyday

11 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Always upvote Bill Hicks!

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

People die everyday

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

just at a slightly older age

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 10

Because 100% of smoker deaths is caused by smoking.

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 4

it sure as hell isn't extending there life

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

Not necessarily.

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

just not during meal service on the balcony

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

35 days smoke free, after 20 years of smoking. And im only 32!!

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Woo! Good job! I'm 5 days free after a year. And I want to kill everyone.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

is it weird that 40 days in NOW I want to kill everyone. Hope you are still surviving!

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

day 5 was the worst so far, I'm sure I'll have a day when I need to hurt something soon though

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No. It's fine. I'll just live a little longer on this awful planet. IT'S COOL.

11 years ago | Likes 130 Dislikes 9

TIL smokers are suicidal.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

as a smoker I can confirm that a lot of us are very casually suicidal.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You could always throw yourself off the balcony

11 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

What, without having my last cig?

11 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

while, then?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Come on man, I'm happy to have my cigarette outside, happy to not smoke when people are eating, but could you not be a dick about it?

11 years ago | Likes 256 Dislikes 62

a lot of older customers who put up a fuss when asked not to smoke around other diners? (4)

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

I dont accept the premise that they have a good reason for being a dick to evefy smoker that walks in the door.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It doesn't seem that dickish to me...a bit high-handed, sure, but not horrible.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

are really likely to make a fuss. "I've been smoking all my life, I'm an old man/woman, let me live my life" etc. Maybe this place has (3)

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

It's a joke, it's funny. If I smoked I think I would chuckle at this.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 6

Possibly, if you hadn't already seen similar jokes a thousand times.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

You got some snarky replies but as someone who loves eating on patios with my little one, thank you for being considerate. Wish more were.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No problem, thanks for being kind :) I would especially never smoke near a child.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You are the best kind of smoker. ^_^ (Now if only the "vape" crowd would catch on to that too...)

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Usually, younger people who have grown up with restrictions on where they could smoke accept these rules. People are paying to have a (1)

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

nice time, including one free of smoke. In my experience, though, older people who used to be allowed to smoke indoors almost everywhere (2)

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

Imo, if someone is outside smoking and I don't like it, I'll move a bit, no complaining. If I was there first, please also move a bit :)

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yup, absolutely I would.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Great! And that is how smokers and non-smokers can be civilised around each other :D

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't see what there is to get offended about here. I can't imagine any smoker not laughing at that joke unless they're already bitchy.

11 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 13

I wouldn't say I'm offended, just calling the sign out as being needlessly passive aggressive. You get a little tired of the "jokes".

11 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 9

I really don't, though. Granted, I quit smoking last year, but even before that. Same thing for my friends who smoke.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Well, that's good. I do, thus my comment.

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

*shrugs* If you can't laugh at yourself, what can you laugh at? lol

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

This. I think the majority of smokers are more than happy to comply by the rules so why be a dick about it?

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Right? It's like they are taking the stance that smokers will be bitchy about it before they have a chance to shrug and not care.

11 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 10

Exactly. Honestly, it wouldn't even occur to me to smoke right next to someone eating, no need to assume I'm an asshole.

11 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 6

I've found most smokers to be respectful people who ask if I mind if they smoke even when I'm standing outside.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

What state do you live in? 0.0 everyone in georgia is like "fuck off, I'll smoke where I damned please"

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Damn, really? Up in Washington anyone who tried to pull that would be thrown the fuck out, even other smokers would help.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Texas. People here are pretty friendly I've found. Maybe not in Houston if the driving was any indication of manners, holy fuck.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Smoking and being an asshole have an extremely strong correlation.

11 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 41

To the haters- smoking is one of the stupidest things you can possibly do. It harms your family, too. Lost my mom to lung cancer.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 12

So is drinking but that's socially acceptable. Get some business and let us destroy our bodies if we want to.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

Thanks, pal.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 7

so do being self righteous and asshole

11 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 9

I've never known a smoker who wasn't polite about smoking, yet so, so many non-smokers act like self-righteous assholes about it.

11 years ago | Likes 69 Dislikes 10

Do you consider smoking in public polite?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 15

Lots of people in my state will blow smoke right in your face at sporting events, in lines; anywhere you can't move away.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Imo, if someone is outside smoking and I don't like it, I'll move a bit, no complaining. If I was there first, please also move a bit :)

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And that's perfectly sensible! Whenever I'm smoking around anyone I always ask first and move around so the wind doesn't blow smoke at you.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'd say about 85% of smokers I've known are polite. 14% are oblivious or ignorant and 1% are defiant or rude.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Oh yeah, you'll always get rude people but the far majority of us will be understanding.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've known few smokers who didn't get pissy about having to adjust their behavior, even a little, to accommodate others. Non-smokers who...

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 5

...act like assholes are likely the ones who have had to ask, repeatedly, for just a little bit of airspace to avoid asthma attacks.

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 5

Furthermore, those with respiratory conditions have to keep interactions with smokers short so that they don't have a severe attack or die.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 6

So if we're being short with you, it's likely that we're just trying to not die in the process.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 5

The worst part of being a smoker isn't the lung cancer, it's dealing with preachy assholes. You are to me what vegans are to meat eaters.

11 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 2

As long as you don't blow it in my face and if you don't ask my opinion about it, do whatver you want :) Though, it's tough to see 1/

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Except meat doesnt do harm to you like smoke does. Also vegetarians are not affected by meat eaters like nonsmokers are to smokers.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

2: for the disregard that a select few completely and utterly rude smokers show for others is kinda patronizing and mean.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I don't smoke near non-smokers, and exactly how much damage depends on how much of both we're talking about.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

And them being "preachy" kind of makes me feel like they care more about your life than you do. Idc just dont blow it in my face and

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Take me down with you.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

The point is that most all smokers know this, and are generally polite about their addiction and when/where they sate it. Browbeating them

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

2/ your friends smoking when family members died of lung cancer even when they tried to stop for over a year. Don't want you to have that.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I actually haven't smoked in about 6 months because I'm currently living with my parents and they're both ex-smokers, so I decided it (1)

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

(2) wouldn't be polite to smoke while I'm staying here.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That is a very considerative thing to do!

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But smoking is something I enjoy, and will continue when I move away. I won't smoke forever, just until I'm 25-30 then stop.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I really hope you stay healthy, but as long as you're happy, why not, right? :)

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

as a non-smoker, thank god. it is so nice to sit outside and eat and i dont want it ruined by cig nastiness

11 years ago | Likes 286 Dislikes 75

well fuck you

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 30

As a smoker, thank you! Having a bad habit doesn't mean you want your fine diner ruined by cold smoke smell. I'll never smoke during my meal

11 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 4

Was in bus shelter with 3 ppl other dsy. Jackass comes in and lights up a fucking cigarette meanwhile NO SMOKING signs everywhere. So pissed

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Next step: Ban women having a much too strong perfume on when going out for dinner, or even wine tasting. I call it air battle.

11 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 5

That would be great! Men and their cologne/aftershave too!

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Very much yes, I am allergic as hell to perfume and I hate those that seem to bathe in it.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

As a non - smoker, I find it funny to watch my fellow man shiver in negative five degree weather because they can't smoke indoors.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 4

Well, they don't actually have to smoke. It is their choice, after all.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

As a smoker, I smoke outside even when I have the option of smoking inside. It probably sounds weird, but I like the fresh air....

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Which is kinda funny, seeing as how you're enjoying the fresh air to inhale tainted air.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In 15 minutes I normally take several hundred breaths. A cigarette takes ~30 drags to finish. That's _much_ more fresh air than "tainted".

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I enjoy watching people be uncomfortable, also.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Cig Nastiness sounds like the name of a lead singer in a punk band.

11 years ago | Likes 62 Dislikes 0

AS A CURRENT SMOKER, SORRY WE SMELL :(

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's Sid Viscous's less successful cousin.

11 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 2

Sid Viscous and The 10W40 Viscocitys

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Both of whom looked up to Sid Vicious.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

He did it his way.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

There are almost no "smoke free" places in my country. As an allergic individual prone to asthma attacks it makes my life HELL !!

11 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 3

I can't travel because of this, but at least I'm good in my state. Come to Ohio! It's saaaaafe for you heeere! *beckon*

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm with you! They banned it in my state about a decade ago. It literally changed my life.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I'm from CA and I was shocked when I went to Vegas. I have no idea how people can survive like that.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Same. I'm in a HOA battle with my downstairs neighbor over her pack a day smoking habits that are actually affecting my health.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I'm having the same struggle with mine. It comes in through the bathroom floor and makes its way throughout my entire apartment.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I can't imagine not being able to breathe in your own house... Good luck on your battle ^^

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Having a no-smoking area in a restaurant is like having a no-peeing area in a swimming pool.

11 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 8

That's why the only practical solution is to make the whole place non-smoking/-peeing.

11 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

I know people who see that as smoker's rights coming second to non-smokers. They want to smoke while they eat like others want the opposite

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not taking a side here either. I like smoking places because it always has empty seats instead of waiting forever for non-smoking.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a smoker, I'd be fine with smoking/non-smoking sections on bar and restaurant outdoor spaces, like they used to do indoors.

11 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 19

Nonsmoking sections don't always keep the scent of cigarettes out

11 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 2

No, but they might do better than allowing smoking on the entire terrace.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 11

I honestly think restaurants should be allowed to have smoking if they wish. Let the patrons decide where they want to eat.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

It makes me sad when a comment this logical and in support of freedoms and choice is downvoted.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It doesn't work like that. There's no invisible barrier to keep your poor choices from entering my fucked up lungs.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

In comparison to a terrace where smoking is allowed all over, one where it's only allowed on one side would be better, no?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

And seriously, do you have to be mean? I'm sorry I made a stupid decision when I was 14 which sort of stuck, and I can't seem to get rid of.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I'm mean because your stupid decision has landed me in the emergency room.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mine specifically? Well shit, I'm sorry. I pretty much only smoke at home or designated smoking areas, so I don't know how that happened.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

For me, smokers anger me bc I have severe asthma and second hand smoke sends me into an asthma attack. It's like their assaulting my lungs

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

1/2 Exactly. I don't think smokers would like if I punched them in the chest a few times and made them breathe through a straw

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2/2 for the next hour (and a slightly larger straw for the rest of the day) so I don't understand why they think they can do that to us.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And that's the problem... smokers actually think you can just have separate areas, and suddenly their smoke doesn't travel through the air

11 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 4

Alright, but if you're going to allow smoking on a terrace, wouldn't you prefer it not right next to you?

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 12

I'd prefer it to not be allowed at all. The smoker doesn't have to be RIGHT next to me to fuck with my asthma.

11 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

I'm cool with that too, I'll not smoke or go to a different bar. But lots of restaurants DO allow it, so why not sections?

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

One way to _help_ the issue is to specify a minimum pressure differential between the areas, and that access to non-smokers' should ~

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Or the government could simply make it illegal for companies to sell a product that poisons people and its only use is to get them addicted.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

As with other drugs? To be sure, they're moving the other way. Methinks it should be "do what you want, but don't _bother_ anyone else".

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

be smoke-free. Madrid did this in 2010. Not sure how well it works.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'll be THAT person: I wish more restaurants had this as a rule. I'd like to dine outside without inhaling smoke with my meal.

11 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 17

go marry a tree faget

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 28

LOL I'll get on that

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Then pick a restaurant that's nonsmoking; restaurants should be allowed to choose what activities they allow in their establishment.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's one thing if you're just outside, I just don't think it's very fair as a paying customer to have smoke blowing on you and your food.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

If you enter a restaurant that allows smoking, you are paying to eat at a restaurant where you might get smoke blown at you, Go elsewhere

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In that same light, how hard is it to wait to smoke somewhere else where people aren't eating right next to you?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Smokers are humans too, but not as long

11 years ago | Likes 1673 Dislikes 9

Smokers are a subset of human. The gregarious types.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 10

We are a dying breed. Literally.

11 years ago | Likes 124 Dislikes 1

We're all a dying breed. Some just die quicker. Others die quickerer.

11 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

It must be the quickening. There can be only none!

11 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Pretty sure smokers are a type of specil infected

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Did you know 100 % of non smokers die too

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My great grandfather smoked 80 cigarettes every day for over 80 years. He lived to be 107. Healthy life as well.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'd rather die before I hit 90, though. Too many health issues for the majority of peeps that old.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nice.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thank you for making me laugh out loud!

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

confused smokers with cigarettes, strange

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The oldest person to have lived apparently smoked most of her life

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

I don't think so.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

She smoked cigarettes from the age of 21 to 117, an unspecified source says she smoked no more than 2 cigarettes a day towards the end.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

imagine how long she could have lived without smoking!

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

That's optimism I love to hear.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's what YOU think!

You have single handedly stopped me cold. Thank you for that.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

You're welcome. That was partly my intent with this comment

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Floppiness, rather. Because it messes with you cardiovascular system, and Willy's all vascular tissue.

11 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

this is gold.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Ha! Penis joke.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

As someone living in an area where smoking is now banned indoors and on patios, I couldn't be happier with the decision.

11 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 18

"Be careful California! You're supposed to be the crazy state!"

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

There are like 30 states where it is banned indoor public places now.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In Cali it is child endangerment to smoke in a car with a minor in it, windows down or up it is highly illegal.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I live in Ontario, Canada. They just recently passed a law making it illegal to smoke on patios. We have been smoke free indoors for years.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

People who aren't as funny as they think they are leave notes like this.

People who aren't as funny as they think they are leave comments like this.

11 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 14

I really don't think he was trying to be funny. Just snide and dismissive. I don't really see anything wrong in doing so.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I was also trying to be funny. I guess my computer voice sounded too serious.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is just as lame as the "if my smoking bothers you, don't breathe!" bumper stickers I've seen.

11 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 9

Let me guess, you're a smoker?

I am not a smoker, and I hate when people smoke where I'm eating.

Found the smoker

11 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 11

people who are bitter about changing societal norms leave comments like this

11 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 5

As a smoker, I'm happy that places where I can smoke are limited and cigarettes are more expensive, it motivates me to quit. But people 1/2

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

being rude to me doesn't motivate me to do much of anything. Ban smoking, fine, but please don't unnecessarily insult me while doing it. 2/2

11 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

I don't smoke, and I love the fact smoking is banned in places I eat

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

The difference between my comment and this note is that I get to see whether or not people find me amusing, as opposed to just assuming I am

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

It really pisses me off that I am treated like a leper for smoking.

11 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 21

i mean, idc if you smoke (ex smoker here) just be courteous to those who don't. also non smokers - don't be judgemental asshats.

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

I agree with you, typically I don't smoke around others. It's just the people that think "I don't do it so you shouldn't" that bother me.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Don't take it personally. It's the cigarettes that are nasty, not you.

11 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

You're subjected to dapsone and rifampicin treatments for 6 months?

11 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 3

+1 to you sir for making me google something. Also found out leprosy can be contracted from armadillos... so at least I learned that.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Your comment just sent me into spasms of laughter. Thank you so much.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

As a smoker, I don´t smoke around people who are eating. Even if we are in a pub and ordered pizza. I can go without a fag for a while.

11 years ago | Likes 693 Dislikes 11

Unlike your dad

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

As an American...hehehhehehe fag.

11 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 1

My mother smokes anywhere and everywhere and it makes me mad when she does it around others or myself.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Even when I did smoke, I hated smoke around me while I was eating. People who do both at the same time confuse me deeply.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've gone 23 years without fags.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

As a North American, I can't imagine pizza without OP

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a Californian, now in a "tobacco" state, I consciously side step people by, like, 20 feet. #notadick

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

same.. I also dont smoke inside at my own place or anyone elses.. always go outside..

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Mh why not stop totally, I mean you see that it damages other people so...

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Is it as damaging if some of us are considerate to others?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Consider this: I hate smokers because I love smokers. Odd isn't it?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You smoke gay people? That's technically cannibalism!

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oddly enough, smoking and sucking dick (fajčiť) are the same in Slovak.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

thank you for not being a scum sucking ass hat. I smoke every now and then but i cant stand people who blow smoke in my face

11 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 3

Blowing smoke in someone´s face is just a dick move, no matter if the other person smokes or not. That shit stings!

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

You da reel MVP

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Do you want an award for doing something any decent person should do?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

As a heterosexual male, I've gone my whole life without a fag. :p

11 years ago | Likes 70 Dislikes 6

Really? They make great friends, generally very open-minded and cosmopolitan.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We can change that. We have the technology. Sup.gif

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Ha ha. Thanks, but not at this time.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Patience is a virtue.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

In my state, smoking is banned anywhere food is being served, including bars

11 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

In Slovakia it´s not and even restaurants have smoker sections, which seems stupid to me. Smoke does not obey a "no smoking" sign.

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

We used to have smoking and non smoking sections until about 8 or 9 years ago when it was banned outright, for that very reason

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Depends on how Restaurant owner decides to regulate it... Aircon and doors will work wonders to limit(if not remove) second hand smoke.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Usually there are no doors or screens and the air conditioning is lacking. On the rare occasion that I eat out, I go to a non-smoking place.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I used to smoke but hated the smell.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Me too!!! True Shit!

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Me too. Grosses me out and I'm a smoker. WTF?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I smoke menthol slims and "normal" cigarettes actually seem greasy to me and make my stomach turn if I smoke them.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

We're about to get some really confused Americans up in dis bitch.

11 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 6

No we won't. "Fag" is slang for a cigarette in England. Anyone over 12 knows that. They'll just make lame ass jokes about it.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

You over estimate our american cousins.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I'm American

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My bfs parents smoke in the house, especially during meal time. Thank you for being considerate.

His mom is actually pretty good about it. I was recently diagnosed with a rare lung disease so she steps outside to smoke when I'm there.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hi, my parents have been indoor smokers all my life, in the car too. Fucking HATE inconsiderate smokers. Peeve trigger so hard.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Wow, I don't know anyone that smokes cigarettes inside their house anymore. I thought people stopped doing that in the 90s!

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Mum and I both smoke at home, but only in the kitchen, which we air out even in winter. And no smoking after 22:00. Seems logical to me.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 5

uhhhh smoking in the kitchen is the worst. Thought of it makes my skin crawl. Foods is prepared there!

11 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 6

Yeah, that's probably the worst place.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

They smoke in their own house? As a fellow smoker: seems like they can do what they damn well please in their own damn house.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 17

2/2 It's her house, if I don't like it, I can leave.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

My soon to be MIL smokes at the kitchen table after she's finished eating, even if no one else is done. I never even thought about it. 1/2

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

But they have two kid, both of which are asthmatics, who were forced to breathe that. They didnt choose to smoke but theyre suffering for it

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My grandparents smoke like chimneys inside even when my lil bro who's seven visits from across the country. They say the same thing as you.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He gets ill from it and can't visit them anymore, and he hasn't mentioned them in over a year bc of it.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is the problem I have. My bf and I are both asthmatics and he was forced to inhale that for nearly 20 years. He had no other choice.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Courtesy for guests is a personal choice, one they don't seem to give fuck all about. Some smokers are just inconsiderate asshats

11 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 6

Just an argument of one person's comfort over another, and in this case why would you impose on their home?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't buy the comfort argument. It's detrimental to your health, and makes people sick.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's pretty rude to go to someone else's house and tell them what to do too, though.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 4

I don't demand anything, hence it being a simple courtesy.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Ugh, my dad's wife does this. It's nasty as fuck. She also gets offended that I don't want my kids there. Go figure...

11 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

This attitude confuses me so much, its HER HOME

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 15

Yeah, but grandma is mad because mom won't bring the kids. I wouldn't bring my kids either.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I've already told my bf that I won't take any of our future kids over their. We are both asthmatics and likely to have kids with asthma.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Seems like you're being fair enough to me.

11 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

She has the right to do as she pleases in her own home. You have the right to keep your kids away from her home if you don't like it.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 5

I'm not saying she doesn't, but it is 'nasty as fuck' in my opinion, too. Which I also have a right to have.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes, you do! It's legal, but that doesn't mean you have to like it or be around it. Just don't try to dictate to someone in their own home.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She has the right to do as she likes, but not to be offended when she can't see her grandkids because of her own behavior.

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I'm pretty sure she has the right to be offended just saying.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

I completely agree!

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

If you don't mind can you also not smoke near hospitals or bus stops either? I have asthma so I hate people who do that, I need fresh air.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Smoking area: Mum was in a hospital over 15 months ago, nearly died and I was a wreck. I was happy to find a place to wait and smoke.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah I don't mind if you smoke in a smoking area. Its when you are smoking in front of the entrances that annoy me.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Smoking at bus stations is against the law. Don´t know about hospitals, but I don´t smoke at either unless the hospital has a smoking area.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Last time i went to Czech i saw something disgusting, a guy inhaling into his mouth, and putting food in his mouth... Are you that kind>

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No. I am Slovak and I cannot even drink and smoke at the same time. But I saw that happen here as well.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I know right! I told a smoker friend and he didn't believe me! And i smoked for 5 years and i wouldnt smoke and eat.. Its just... strange...
