$49 is cheap for all the compliments you were looking for. Next time see how it feels to just do it because you are a good person. No one else needs to know.
Most charitable acts are selfishly motivated in that they make a person feel better. I did it mostly because I knew I’d be awake at one in the morning, worried she didn’t have enough money to buy a new one. By giving her the vacuum , I can now sleep through the night, selfishly.
$49 is easily worth it to keep a good cleaning person :) You never truly appreciate a good cleaner until you need to find a new one. A second-hand vacuum is a very good investment. Well done
That article lacks the part about capitalism where you have to use your money to generate profits for the company. Socializing of investments and privatization of profits.
There's no indication of her pay, so your assuming she gets paid well. Either way, You pay a cleaning company to clean, they bring their own equipment.
I took circumstantial evidence: Named "cleaning lady" and "works so hard" and is giftet 49 dollar which for the gifter is not much and no problem but means for her the world. All signs of a precarious work arrangement. Earning 10 $ while having to pay gas, car, supplies makes for 2 $ an hour. When hiring a company you pay 20 $ where 10 $ go to the company for supplies, gas, car and 10 $ and hour go to the cleaner. (Idealized). And a company could just buy a new vac on the way to the next appoin

The first Aardman film I actually enjoyed. Only because I had no idea it was Aardman until I saw the title card during the end credits. Lol

The character designs were too weird for me. Still, their worst movie is Chicken Run. That movie is dogshit!
