#8 this is sexual either way since "bbw" is a porn term too lol

1 month ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I mean, it's also just a term in Dating sites.

No, a BUD Light.

#4 I'd prefer if they adapted something more classical, like "the cylinder must remain unharmed" or Blade of Legends: Poopknife".

#22 I mean...

and suddenly everyone cheers and welcoems the new alien overlords.

Not a huge loss at this point.

#40 I won't lie, when this guy started popping up, I didn't read any of it and just assumed it was some type of Nathan Lane character cosplay.

Only to find out that we are dealing with a real-life cartoon villain. Someone forgot to hit the reset button on the matrix in 2012, and it's starting to show.

#14 I would agree that they get a double big Mother's Day though.

#41 I was really hoping that Lobos first live action appearance was going to be in a r-rated spectacle

1 month ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I dunno, I kind'a like that he's in this. It helps me get over the fact that I really didn't like the miniseries this was based on.

I mean, nearly 70 years of Supergirl stories to draw on, and they picked the LEAST "Supergirl" one to make into a movie. At least I'll have Lobo to look at.

#1 The saddest thing I ever found in a storage locker after buying it like in “Storage Wars” was to find a huge box of Marlboro Miles. Maybe like 50k of them. Imagine all that went into collecting those, all to just have me find it long after they could ever be traded in.

#22 - That does look better

Because some of us would definitely be disappointed by where that actually led.

yeah, not a lot of us would be happy in a Bath and Body Works job if we thought we were getting a tube meat lube meet

#1 LAWYER: Reminding you that you’re under oath, can you, or can’t you say with certainty that your products are safe?…..TOBACCO CEO: I can, sir.

"I've never met a single person that has had any adverse effect from buying or owning our products."

Big tobacco ceos lying to congress and probably swearing on the bible. I assume that second part would be correct.

At my age, I’d never be able to get out of that outfit quick enough to use the bathroom

1 month ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

That was my first thought too. Like does she have to get naked to pee?

1 month ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Naked, squatting, and holding the door closed.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

#39 if any are wondering about the braids, those are the allowed styles of the FLDS mormon poly/pedo cultists. Perfect for the magats.

1 month ago | Likes 293 Dislikes 6

I guess Women’s Lib didn’t work out for a lot of women. Why in God‘s name would you want to go back to being barefoot and pregnant, told what to wear, and how to vote?

1 month ago | Likes 75 Dislikes 13

Because it still puts them in the "better" caste.

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Propaganda is a hell of a drug.

1 month ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 0

They are convinced that these dudes are prophets, and that they are serving god by living to these standards. Serious cult noise.

1 month ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Because you're 12 and your cult leader says it's a blessing to be chosen as his 30th wife. What the hell is wrong with you that you blame women for rejecting women's lib and not men for wanting to treat women like breedstock to begin with? If you see an old picture of an enslaved African do you think 'what an idiot choosing a life of bondage over freedom?'

1 month ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 5

Bc thinking is hard?

1 month ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 5

Some people really do like the comfort of other people telling them what to do/think.

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Wants are irrelevant when being groomed from childhood takes thought of doing otherwise out of the equation.

1 month ago | Likes 127 Dislikes 0

And as for those who convert in adulthood, I can only assume its a combination of "I don't want to get a job" combined with self-delusional "Obviously as one of the Good Ones™️, *I* won't be reduced to a houseslave with no personal rights."

1 month ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 1

A lot of them end up with a servitude kink and are happy to relinquish their rights and everyone else's to serve men.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh no, my face! Those dastardly leopards!

1 month ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

(I've been very interested in cults since the Davidians incident filled my family's TV for weeks.) For some of the adults it's "Everything I've done in my life and I still can't get ahead, I feel alone, cant find good men, and here's this man/men and group who says all the right things, makes me feel seen, forgiven, accepted and owns a town or multiple businesses and they'll treat me right, get me a steady job somewhere within the group structure and get me into the good afterlife."

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Desperately wanting for acceptance and community (while being unable to find it) is a hell of a thing, and the reason a lot of people fall down a lot of painful holes. Not everyone in those is desperate though, sometimes they're just fucking stupid.

Sadly, having empathy for the desperate sometimes means having empathy for the stupid ones too.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's blaming the victims.

1 month ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 10

Not really. Thinking for yourself can't be outsourced by definition.

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Children raised in cults are punished for "thinking for themselves."

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

True. But no getting around the need for it, in the end

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Not ... exactly. Yes, much/most of the work being done against women's liberation is being done by men/"people in power" but that doesn't mean that there aren't, for lack of a better term, collaborators. Yes, they are victims of an oppressive system, and they are patsies in a regressive movement, but many of them are making that choice for the same "conservative" reasons as the people in power are. It's worth pointing out the dissidence if it prevents more people from falling for it.

1 month ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 2

Besides a couple assholes I knew in college, some of the most anti feminist people I know are women. Fucking hell, my grandma started her own business and touts how women should return to the kitchen and be subservient to men.

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The comment puts no responsibility on men at all. Considering thise hairstyles are from Warren Jeff's sect, it's effectively saying 'why are those women raised in a cult and married off as children rejecting women's liberation?'

1 month ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I'm old enough to remember Anita Bryant and other women campaigning loudly against the Equal Rights Amendment. She also campaigned against gay people, not just gay rights.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I am as well, but the thing is that there was a reason they are the 'face' of the movement against those things, and that's because the people in power wanted it to be a woman who was who you remembered being against that. Women being against women's liberation will find donors/supporters for that reason. Same as conservative black men who say that racism doesn't exist. Conservatives love identity politics as much as they claim liberals do.
