Every time I see something like this, I remember this one episode of Sharpe. that "dorodango" one is pretty neat, couple things, that is not just some random dirt, it's clay, you can get the same surface quality on ceramic with a tumbled stone, or something like the back of a spoon, it takes forever, it's totally worth the effort imo, then you can fire it.

IIRC, dirt is a mixture of sand, clay, and organics. Depending on where you are, just saying dirt would cover it completely. I'm in middle georgia where everything is red clay and sand is but a distant dream.

I don't think they would have tbh. There's a lot of fake rescue vids out there but the simplest answer is really just that someone called downstream to warn them. That dog actively tries to bite the rescuer; it looks like a street dog, and I feel like that's a huge risk to take for some clicks.
