I was a combat medic in Afghanistan. I know exactly what I would have done.

If my kid died in that school that guy’s forehead would have a bitch tattoo, and it would be on display in a piss bucket behind my garage.

That "mix" of 100+ LEOs with guns against one guy? Yeah wow super scary

7 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

The "mix" that he and his fucking dumbass goon squad deliberately avoided and let children die.

Every juror who voted for his acquittal should be locked in a school with gunmen hunting them for sport.

7 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You mean like the people who WERE there and DID try to go in and do something that you stopped??

7 months ago | Likes 197 Dislikes 0

"uNtIl yOu aRe iN tHaT mIx" Motherfucker wasn't even in it. Did everything he could to avoid being in it. We are not talking about they got stuck in the shit and made a bad choice. The bad choice was them sitting with their thumbs up their ass while children died!

Some of the biggest pieces of shit I know, full-on MAGA racists who think ICE is too soft on people, served in the military and 110% would have gone into that school to rescue those kids armed with nothing but the tire irons they keep in their trucks.

Bullshit. MAGA assholes are bullies and cowards. Every last one of them.

'I was a baker, but getting up early was too much, you can't judge me for wanting to be a baker and not wanting to get up early'.
'I was a butcher, but touching raw meat and blood made me queasy, you can't judge me for wanting to be a baker but not wanting to touch raw meat'.
'I was a farmer, but working under the sun was too difficult, you can't judge me for wanting to be a farmer but also wanting to stay home under the AC'.

fuck...i remember like 6y ago here in germany two cops fled the scene of a shootout where two other cops got injured...they got found guilty of "battery by omission" or something like that, suspended jail sentences, other cops are still fighting to make them lose their jobs completely...shit like that doesnt fly...

We certainly can when we’ve seen countless others act as we expected

"I didn't know I was a coward until I had to do the hard part of my job."

7 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I'm nobody, and I would have went in. Terrified, unarmed, but I would have went in. There's no moral fibre in my body that would stand around knowing kids were getting shot. I may accomplish nothing, but I could never *do* nothing.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't know what I would have done. But I know got damn good and well what those cops were supposed to do.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So brave. stand around and wait hearing teachers and children being murdered. Fucking dipshit.

7 months ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 0

400. 400 law enforcement professionals with guns and body armor, and all it took was 1 psychopath with an AR-15 to scare them into complete inaction while children were being murdered.

And for some reason it changed nothing.

7 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

The funny thing is that they were scared of him because they saw the specific rounds the shooter was using on the ground / outside and knew their body armor might not make a difference.

Why is that funny? I’m not sure.

But if that many of them are scared of one kid with an AR15… something something ice

7 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

He's right. I don't know what I would have done. But I do know what I would NOT have done, sat on my ass while children were being murdered.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Normally I agree with people pushing back against "armchair experts" expressing what they "would have done". But I can very very easily say that nobody with a functional human moral code would have done what this asshole did and make it easier for a gunman to murder children. If he'd panicked and done nothing the situation would have been significantly better, this dude /helped a murderer kill kids/ and then wants to try and pull "well you might have done the same!" Fuck that.

In many cases it's all fine and good to say "but what would YOU have done?".
But in cases like this the proper response is "I did not choose to be a police officer. You did! This kind of dangerous sutiation comes with the job, and if you are not going to fulfill you promisse to preotect and serve, then you should not be apolice officer."

7 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Yeah, but WHO did they promise to protect and serve?

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Tell that feeble excuse to a Fireman or woman, or any one of the thousands of Veterans who put their lives on the line every day you cowardly lump of excrement...

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sounds like someone wanted all the perks but none of the responsabilities

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

All right. I’m happy to tell him in person.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Disabled veteran here: I can certainly tell you that you are a coward.

Last year we saw the worst school shooting ever in Sweden.
Police entered the building withing seconds offa rriving.
Fast forward to about 8:15 to see how real police behave: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YdbY1YlwPFY

Doing something you are afraid to do because you have a duty to do it is... the bare minimum, actually

7 months ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

no, the courts have been pretty clear on this, police have no duty to protect anyone.

7 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Legally, yes. Morally they ... Oh who am I kidding that morality is even a part of this conversation

7 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

The thing is, you should have been trained on this. Trained over and over and over. I was infantry in the Army. We trained our asses off. When you are assaulting an objective you DO NOT FUCKING STOP. As soon as you stop moving forward without a clear plan and expectation to continue, you have lost the initiative and once you lose that, it is very hard in the face of fire to gain it again. Moving forward you have momentum to carry you through. You do not stop. You push that assault through.

Cowards, liars and disgraceful bags of water.

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If only he couldve known that being a cop was a dangerous job and could involve being shot

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh sorry, I would want this to happen to me ... and is the reason I'm not a cop ... you made your choice though.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"Yeah, I was a punk ass little bitch that stood by while children were murdered... so what?"

Fuck You, "Officer" Gonzales. May you burn in hell.

" It Coulda Been Worse !!! " - governor greg abbott R-TX at news conference immediately after the Uvalde massacre in which 19 kids and 2 teachers were slaughtered while hundreds of police officers and agents did nothing. Then abbott went directly to a gun show in Houston. These are facts. Look it up. republicans are disgusting.

" The Number of Deaths Is Almost Nothing !!! " - don trump Jr. one week before the 2020 election when 1,000 Americans per day were dying from covid. 1,000 dead Americans Per Day is "almost nothing" to the trumps. republicans are disgusting.

" The old and disabled should be willing to die for the economy !!! " - Lt. gov. dan patrick R-TX when covid was causing the economy to tank. ps: same as "j.d. vance", "dan patrick" doesn't use his given name, yet not one peep about it from the republican party. republicans are disgusting.

And Texas keeps voting for this piece of shit, which tells me the majority of Texans are equally pieces of shit.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You can only be brave when you’re scared… unless you’re a coward

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Didn't the cops actually stop parents from rushing in to try and stop the gunman themselves?

7 months ago | Likes 117 Dislikes 0

Generally speaking, it’s the right thing to do. You don’t want a bunch of parents in the mix making the situation more chaotic. *However*, nobody else was doing anything, so procedure kind of goes out the window at that point.

https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/officers-rescued-own-children-texas/ I figured I'd be calling BS on this, but no, it's true. The officer in question DID get other kids to safety as well, but his focus was on getting his child to safety first.

7 months ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 0

they stopped parents from doing that, once the cops got their kids out

7 months ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

Yes and the mother who was handcuffed, negotiated her release, was able to sneak away and save her kids is still harassed about it
