Was 20 yrs old working at a small town coffee shop in '96. Lady comes in, attractive but older than I, windbreaker jacket with Strang Days logo on it. I was like, cool jacket, cool movie. She acted a little awkward, like not weird, but I sensed it. So ask have you seen it? answered yes, again I sensed something more was going on. Didn't sense she didn't want me asking, so I ask where she got the jacket. She said they were crew jackets. Interesting, what did you do? Director -Katherine Bigelow.

Kathryn Bigelow, again with the stunning visuals. A crazed cop, handcuffed to his dead partner, dragging the body through falling rainbow confetti. That's the image that's stayed with me for all these years.

My favorite thing about this movie was indulging the fantasy that crooked cops will face consequences when evidence is presented against them.
My second favorite thing is Vincent D'onofrio's performance. That guy's completely soluble in any film

Skunk Anansie - Selling Jesus hits so hard on the soundtrack.
Actually, the entire soundtrack rocks. The duo Peter Gabriel & Deep Forest during the credits is another great one.
The great photos at the end are reminiscent of photojournalism in a warzone.
