These comments started showing up over night on a post I made yesterday, and are still ongoing. All generic botty names, all a couple hundred points.
So, watch out for these accounts to start talking about how they don't support Trump but they just can't bring themselves to vote for Harris, I guess.

Social media has always had to fight bots but it's getting even harder these days. Any site/app that's popular faces these BS bot swarms

It's a deathtrap. There, I said it.

I'm not a bot, just a bot afficionado

Report every last goddamn one of them.

I keep seeing new accounts that make 3 or 4 comments on any post with a handful of emojis, then they start either posting AI generated images, or post how great a design company was. Almost every post from the bots is marked "Mature" for some reason, too. For full Twitterification, we need the p0rn bots to start flirting with each other. :/

The only "point whoring" going on here is you.

THEN (insert banal joke)

I clicked a random one and saw more comments, went to that post and it’s the same thing. Someone didn’t time out their AI bots properly or something

I'm not saying it's a death trap, but I think I saw this in a Final Destination movie apology letter... to my orthopedic surgeon.
