To be fair, James Woods hasn't seen a camera in a while.

But see, we need assault rifles so we can prevent a tyrannical government from snatching kids from their beds in the middle of the night!

NRA were also Russian agents, oddly enough.

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I used to think my shotgun and pistol were enough for anything I might need, or the bolt action .308 for longer range work. But now I am starting to see the need for a 30 round semi automatic, what with ICE rolling around in their terroristic goblin packs.

11 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No no… you see we define “tyrannical” as “tan suit.” The stuff going on right now is just “law & order.”

11 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Or our neighbors from our streets

11 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's not even that we need to ban them, it's just nuts how anyone with a basic permit and no psych test can buy them, under 21yo in most states. Very low hanging fruit...

11 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

They should have been banned along with orange boy.

I am in VA. I can get an AR faster than I can get an appointment with my PCP. This nation is so fundamentally broken.

James Woods is actually as shitty as the roles he plays. Someone should take James Woods out into James Woods woods and James Woods him.

11 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

ICE is a good enough reason

The AR-15 was made to be an assault rifle. They took of the select fire to sell to civilians. THE GUN NUT ARGUMENT IS NULL AND VOID.

James Woods, what a Kevin Sorbo

11 months ago | Likes 83 Dislikes 1

Worse really. Sorbo is a washed up nobody that tries to stay relevant by parroting what he thinks will get him attention. Woods has a long history of extremely creepy and sexist behavior that many women have been coming out about. Sorbo's doing it for attention while Woods is doing it to shield himself.

11 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

As I understand it, Sorbo has some similar history himself.

11 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The only difference being that Woods actually has talent, regrettably.

It doesn't stand for "Armalite Rifle" its just ARmalite. The AR tag is used for more than just the rifle platform

11 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Careful, Tofu, that might be too much for a Republican to comprehend all at once!

11 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

People like to be obtuse about normaculture. AR might stand for something in the technical term but in society it now also stands for assault rifle. Just how GOP once stood for the republican party and now they are protect pedophiles party.

Took me two seconds when I saw three rifle barrels.

I'm unclear, is this an ar rifle or an assault camera? Can somebody clarify me as if I were unpastaurized butter? I also can't tell this apart from my a$$whole

11 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Even if AR doesn't stand for Assualt rifle, its still actually an assault rifle is it not?

Agreed

11 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Oh, maybe that's the American term. I'm European, you see.

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"Assault Weapon" was a legal term to refer to military styled semi-autimatic rifles with a pistol grip, detachable high capacity magazine, and removable stock, among other features. An AR-15 and its clones absolutely counts under that legal definition. But the issue of being overly precise about specific technical definitions is a bad-faith attempt to derail legitimate attempts to discuss reasonable firearm regulations that the VAST majority support.

11 months ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 3

2A Dem here. Reasonable regulations, please. At this point, taking them away from all Trump supporters sounds reasonable. They're 9/10 of every mass shooter situation to begin with, and usually the school shooters.

11 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Talking about things in accurate terms is important. Because the term "assault weapon" was deliberately coined to create confusion in the public between military-grade fully automatic weapons, and things like ARs which fire one round at a time the same as any other rifle. You cannot simply buy an automatic weapon in the US. If you want to talk about "good faith," facts are a good place to start.

Which is exactly why he's not nearly as prolific an actor as he should've been. He's a good actor, but an absolute dickbag and impossible to work wiht.

he is useful. presuming disney intends to do a proper live action herculese. if thats not in the works though, then yeah. useless.

Thing is, if there is a live action Hercules and it stars James Woods, as good as he was as Hades? I'd not want to spend a single penny on a product that he now would benefit from.

11 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

true, lets be real: how much longer is he gonna be around to have those benefits? that said, as long as they got danny devito into it, i could live with an immitation james woods as hades

The good die young, that fucker is gonna be 100.

He used to regularly guest star on Family Guy, they even named the High School after him. Which used to be funny until MAGA happened to America. In 2016, they killed him off in season 9, retconned him in season 10 so they could ultimately have Peter ruin his career, and then changed the name of the school in another episode. 1/2

11 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Seth McFarlane was actually friends with many republicans, like Rush Limbaugh, who guest starred on the show. But Woods became someone Seth didn’t want to be associated with anymore. Beyond just differing opinions. 2/2

James woods is particularly odious bc he went to MIT and wants everyone to know he's a genius.

He's a villain. A manifestation of Hades himself.

11 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

James Woods is a piece of shit.

11 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I never understood the “AR doesn’t stand for Assault Rifle” argument. Ok, it doesn’t stand for that, but it is a semi automatic assault rifle that is easy to use and modify.

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The idea is that it discredits the "gun opposition" argument because they don't even know what they're talking about, so rather than engage with the actual argument they can just say "Oh but you believe AR stands for Assault Rifle so you're an idiot checkmate libcuck" and go about shitting their bullshit elsewhere.

11 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Technically, if it is semi-autimatic then it isn't an assault rifle. An assault rifle is select fire. But that is irrelevant because they are being pedantic to avoid discussing the actual issue - any American over age 18 can easily get a weapon capable of firing 30 highly powered rounds accurate at 600 meters inside of a couple seconds for a couple hundred bucks. They might need to drive a bit to obtain it, but it is available easily.

11 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What the "AR" in AR-15 stands for is an irrelevant distraction. What matters is how it functions.

11 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Don't fall into the bullshit "AR doesn't stand for assault rifle" argument.

All magazine fed, semi-automatic weapons need to be banned. You don't need those for hunting. You don't need them for self-defense.

Whether it's pistols or rifles, these are the weapons that are responsible for mass shootings. Lots of bullets in a short time with a fast reload.

11 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 3

you want clip-fed hunting rifles? that do sound kinda neat

11 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 5

100% agree. I have no issues with a bolt action rifle or pump action shotgun for hunting or a revolver or a shotgun for defense. There is no need for people to have a weapon capable of firing a 5.56mm round 30 times in a few seconds without reloading. There is no need for a concealable weapon firing a .45 inch bullet a dozen times in a couple seconds without reloading.

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Well... I mean there is NOW, there wasn't before.

11 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

As a hunter I'll emphasize that it's goddamn scary when a nearby hunter is popping off shots like that.

11 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Even if they were "Built for women" who's buying them now?

It's like saying Opium is a pain reliever so we shouldn't restrict their purchase and use.

11 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

They're (the gun) built for spraying a lot of bullets in a hurry. Want to do real stuff get a Mauser bolt action. One shot is all you need.

11 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Except the automatic variant has been banned from civilian usage for decades... The civilian-available version of the AR-15 *is* semi-automatic only (meaning only one shot per trigger pull).

11 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Even allowing for adjustment between shots you can pretty easily reach 45 rounds a minute fire rate with a semi automatic rifle.

11 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Bolt actions & shotguns aren't that far behind that in terms of potential rate of fire, and handguns & shotguns can go over that. The British in WWI pushed their bolt-action Lee Enfield rifles to a RoF of 38 rounds per minute which is comparable to the RoF of the most common shotgun in the US (which fires far more projectiles per shot and are lethal out to 100 yard), and the average 9mm handgun can reach 600 rpm.

11 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes, but none of those weapons have the capacity for those rates of fire, at least maybe the Enfield with a trained rifleman behind it, but the reloading would likely lower that rate, and definitely would for the others.
An AR you drop the mag, slame a new one home, and keep the party rocking.

11 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ok, I can launch 8 bullets from my .22 semi automatic rifle in the time it takes me to shoot then re-chamber two rounds from the bolt action loader. A semi auto can fire quite rapidly and is good for putting bullets all over the target. A bolt will fire slowly but I can make funny patterns on the target it at 50 years. Whatever works for ya.

11 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Have you ever heard of the concept of the "Mad Minute?" In WWI, when the primary firearm was a bolt-action rifle, the British adopted a rapid-fire training drill where they'd practice scoring as many hits on a target at 300 yards within 60 seconds as possible. The minimum expected performance was 15 shots; but a practiced soldier could land as many as 38-40. Mind you, they managed this with rifles that could only hold 10 rounds at a time. [1/2]

11 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But if we're being 100% honest with each other, most mass shootings throughout American history were carried out with handguns & shotguns, which have far higher rates of fire than a bolt action rifle, and banning "assault weapons" wouldn't ban those two categories of firearms. [2/2]

11 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Maybe the constitution says that James Woods doesn't need a reason to have a weapon like the one the camera equipment is arranged to look like. It is still entirely valid to ask why the constitution lets him get one no questions asked.

11 months ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

I mean, it don't.

11 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Depends what state. Mine asks questions. Always has, even since before the Revolution they had "well regulated militias". Safest state in the nation with a city of 250,00 or more.

11 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Honest answer? Because the purported purpose of the 2A is to be ungovernable in the face of tyranny. To that end, allowing the government to place any restrictions at all on gun ownership defeats the purpose. I believe the founders meant it when they said "shall not be infringed", and I think it still applies.

And I before I get my shit jumped - I am well aware that 2A proponents haven't yet stood up and started being ungovernable in the face of tyranny. I know it. It bothers me too.

11 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

every state asks questions. thats why you need licenses. and why every one of those guns has serial numbers that get tracked. and why they

11 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

wont let you try to buy an RPG, a tank, and f-16, or an ICBM. "shall not be infringed" as people like you interpret it has always been BS

11 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

and with DAMN good reason.

11 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"People like me", you say. Methinks you're reading meaning into my words that isn't actually there.

11 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

"people like you" meaning people who believe 'the second amendment means i can have guns no questions asked, and restrictions/conditions on that are unconsitutional'. so unless your words are defending a point you dont actually believe in for some reason, no, im not reading meanings that are not there.

11 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I never claimed I believed it. So my words do not defend anything of the sort. I was playing along with #1's argument for the sake of it.
