For those who love minutae - Network was a movie title and other movies named "The Net" came out in 1916, 1923, 1953 & 1975.
Ethernet & Arpanet were both operational by then - 1973 and 1969. Plus Bitnet and CSNET were fully implemented.
But none of those featured Sandra Bullock.
