A friend of mine had a baby and had put her in her crib one night and after a bit she started crying. They recognized the cry as one of actual distress, not just one for attention. So they went to check on her and she had grabbed her hair and was pulling on it. So they took her hand and released her grip on her hair and all was fine. I think someone needs to help this poor doggo out in the same way.
