Been there. Did u know that the Hearst family still owns thirty square miles of central California coast and pays no property tax. Crazy.

This Place is HUGE. Had a great time checking it out. The tour guide said the owner wouldn't let people get too drunk at parties/

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

/send them to there rooms if they were too intoxicated. Zero tolerance policy

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I used to live 20 min from Hearst castle really stunning place

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have swam in that pool. Worked for the state digging fire line on the ranch, was a kick ass reward

The blue blue pool?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Every other inch of that ultra-mansion is just as amzing. Zebras live there too.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I I've been there. Cool place, but don't dare touch anything.

This looks like the room everyone gets cut up in by lasers in resident evil

Visited there last year. They have zebras on the property. It used to be a zoo.

Looks like something from ABZÛ

I visited this castle while visiting California. Super cool property

Went there a few years ago. Just thought it was really gaudy and without substance and showed no respect for the past

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Did you do the upstairs or kitchen tour? Those are much more interesting and less touristy.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I grew up near there, and we got to go under the biggest pool during a tour. It had stalactites and stalagmites and stuff growing.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Dang that's awesome. Wish I could have seen that!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Been there too. My sister too. Her visit was better. She pooped somewhere in the castle. I can't beat that.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I visited it once when I was young. Really neat place. :)

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I was about 12 when I went. The pools outside were my favorite part. A child's dream

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I've lived near it my whole life but still never been. I hear it's neat though. Weddings there cost $10-20k apparently

When people don't know about castles in California

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Hearst castle. Not built like a medieval castle. More of a really fancy mansion

One of the employee's told me they get to swim in the pools once a year. #jealous

I live here and I still haven't gone. Thanks for the inspiration. I will make it happen

Recognized this beautiful bastard by the thumbnail. Ever since I was little I've been trying to think of ways I could "trip" into it.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I wanna pee in it.

When I was younger we took a school trip there. The tile has real gold pieces.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

W. R. Hearst was a piece of human garbage.

He might want to go to they gynecologist and have that checked out...

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Dad used to work there and I could have swam in some of the pools. He never told me this because he thought I wouldn't be interested

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I feel like I read your comment before, I remember it every time I see this pool :(

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Haha it probably was me. Something I don't think I'll get over

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My parents swam in the other large outdoor pool. Family friends traded some services with Hearst castle and that was compensation.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Was it everything they hoped for?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Haha, they said it was fun and a pretty cool experience. They swam in the Neptune pool and it has a beautiful view. Pic in next comment.

looks like the water temple from LOZ ocarina of time.

9 years ago | Likes 242 Dislikes 3

The water temple? I've never heard of such a place, what are you talking about?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Did the one in Ocarina have buckets of chlorine and matching fridge?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Pots full of rupees and a chest with an ice trap, I think.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Better find that cristal switch to raise the water level to reach the platform where the map is and... ugh, that's it, I'm stressed.

9 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

And then do it all again cause you forgot a key on the bottom level.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Is this the tick tock sound? This sh*t has a timer, seriously?! Who the f*ck builds cristals with timers!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Apparently zoras does that shit!

Am I the only one who actually enjoyed this temple in my youth?

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

I hated it so much, I found exploits to bypass it and beat the game. In every one. Takes way too long to be worth it sometimes.. But I was 8

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yep

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

In fact I enjoyed it too. Once. Once is good.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

It was fun

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well actually the layout and level design is pretty good. Soothing water and music mostly. It's the damn puzzle solving that drives me nuts.
