There never really was any "communism" it was just a different form of a fascist oligarchy with different names and methods... What MAGA is looking to do is the same exact thing that was done with "communism", they want to portray their fascist oligarchy as "democracy" and make everyone live as slaves while the party leaders all live the high life the same way the Russians did. I'd take communism over maga in a heartbeat, but the paucity of communists from the Epstein files is not because they have a "different form of consciousness", it's because Epstein was a finance guy/broker. How many communists do you think you meet if that's your day job? Everyone in positions of power needs scrutiny. Communist/socialist systems can solve many problems that capitalism has, but they can't remove the need for oversight and accountability.

Red Scare worked in the 50’s and was their go-to political fear tactic up until the 90’s. Faded with the fall of the Soviet Union and China becoming a major economic force that the Corporations wanted to embrace.
Now it’s back as a fear tactic. I’d guess that 25% of the population is stupid enough to buy in, no questions asked. They’ll try to scare more of the people into believing that Democratic-Socialism equals Stalin type Communism.

Definitions don't matter. Folks ask them point blank "do you think kids should have free lunches?" and they say "no". My wife's sister has kids in school, and she thinks kids shouldn't get free lunches. They would rather kids starve while feeding their own kids (and being near broke themselves) than worry that their taxes might help EVERYONE. That's the part that's crazy. They would benefit from it, too. But choose against it.

You have to ask about their kids. "If you could start over back in 1950, would you like the government to help you buy a house? Would you like some sort of small monthly payment from the government to help you raise your kids? And if you put your kids through school, should that be affordable?" To them, it's all about them. Everyone has to build their own road? If there is a pothole in my road do you get to sue me into oblivion for damaging your car? What if I buy all the land around your land (encircling you) and you have to use my road can I tax you as much as I want? Now imagine 100 different owners on a 10 mile stretch of road.
