Not for nothing, but actually getting musicians to perform (instead of just stealing the music of people who don't support you) is bound to attract *some* people who might otherwise be uninterested.
Still, this probably triggers the shit out of Trump. Pathetic little narcissist that he is.
Republican: “that’s all AI and if it’s not, they’re all just paid actors.” He says at a Trump rally while surrounded by paid actors as people are leaving halfway through while he shares his 8th AI generated image of the day of Trump stopping the 9/11 attack single handedly.
You had to reserve your admission and you received an online ticket, which I did, YAY! Only problem, there were over 1, 500,000 reserved for the event. Even with a ticket, it was first come first served. I didn’t make it in, but watched online.
This is how I always see america....but I grew up in northeastern nj...I now live in the deeep south and it's the other way....so sad, so scary, everyday I wish I could be myself, and not be judged or have to represent every other person that resembles me, in all my actions, words, clothing, car, house, etc etc etc oh and I like God as much as the next guy but these mfs here take their jesus stuff to that same level of culture shock as rolling up to the Taliban HQ or zionistville, Jerusalem.
They are like "not everybody treated their slaves badly" ppl, the "rebel flag is my heritage" ppl, the every asain is chinese, every Spanish speaking person is mexican ppl, the sometimes not even respond or acknowledge my existence when I say hello or good morning type ppl, LOL it's so wild, I actually just fake or conceal my disgust for trump and all of their support for him everyday so I'm able to make a living, but this shit is real. Real f**king INSANE!
That fucking shit stain caused traffic so bad in Austin it took me 3 hours to get home on my normal 40 minute commute. Last time the douche-weasel was here it took me three hours also.
Ugh... I live near Traverse. Fuck all of them. They deserve to walk. Maybe at least one will finally realize he doesn't give a single runny turd about them. Unlikely, but...
See, Trump isn't trying to make the world a better place for them. He's trying to make the world a worse place for the 'type of people' they hate. Trump and Kamala have two entirely different agendas. Which is why, despite every bad thing Trump does, they'll still vote for him

I went to a Trump event in 2015, like one of his early ones because he came to the state fair and I was there anyway, so I thought fuck it, let's go her the dude talk and see what his bag is.
About 20 mins after was to scheduled to be on stage, a campaign person came out to announce his plane had officially touched down at the airport. So many people left immediately like, wtf what a dick.
By the time he got there, there was so much space to walk back in after we rode rides and shit.
They are uneducated, uninformed, and live in the hinterlands. Homeschooling for two generations or more and don't actually believe in america. If you dropped them in a city, they would have a heart attack.
And remember, these people aren't dumb, just uneducated and it is easier to get a progressive country using education instead of hate. So stay friendly with people who are not like you, they might start listening to you. Work together, don't fight.
My dad grew up in super rural farmland Pennsylvania and never meshed with that scene so he got out early and for good. When we went back to his hometown to visit his family after I was born and about 4-5 years old we were at the town market/small local festival and my parents say I asked "Where are all the other people?" They looked around at a packed venue, confused, and after a few followup questions realize I'm asking why everyone is white.
So, I grew up in NYC, went to public schools in Manhattan (Elementary/JHS and high school) and went to college in upstate NY (a SUNY school as NYC kids are wont to do)... and the thing that freaked me out was how white the schools were, how white the local communities were... I was used to seeing a United Colors of Beneton everywhere I went...
It made me very observant to places that did not have diverse people in them, why weren't they diverse?
I’m from the southern tier of WNY and yeah, that state has a lot of white in it. And a lot of stars and bars. I wish more of the state was like the cities.
Not necessarily, if the enthusiasm can push the Democratic candidate to flip Ted Cruz's seat. The legislature is going to be close, and I think they need all the help they can get.
She could hardly have spent more time in swing states. At a certain point, news about a 30K-person rally in Houston is better for the campaign than whatever the 20th event in Philadelphia would look like.
I never understand why they spend any time or money in these states. I guess they still spend a majority of of their time and money in swing states, but anything else is a waste.
With this type of publicity though, I think it gives people elsewhere more hope and more impetus to get out and vote. If she can draw this many in *texas*... kinda thing.
Down ballot elections matter just as much (if not more) than the presidential race. So you want people motivated to vote even in red/purple areas.
Especially with the senate/house being as close as they are. And especially since these swing states are where you can find Republican governments passing heinous laws if they get the chance.
The corrupt Texas AG will never allow that to happen. Remember after 2020 he bragged that he got hundreds of thousands of votes thrown out on technicalities.
Allred fucking eviscerated him in that debate, I genuinely hope Cruz cried himself to sleep that night (if he had enough of a spine to even feel bad in hindsight, which he doesn't).
I could spend all day saying bad things about Abbott, but he wouldn't have any success stealing the election if there was a clear Harris victory and he wouldn't care enough to try.
Probably not but there's hope. Did you know there's more people registered Democrat than Republican in Texas? It's just all the people registered as independent or non-partisan there's tend to still vote red.
*specifically, it doesn't affect the senate and presidency. It very much affects the house. Same at the state level vis a vis governor, senate, and house
Less gerrymandering for statewide offices and more voter suppression and discouragement. Paxton said that Houston mailing out applications for mail-in ballots probably secured the election for TFG. With everyone motivated, there's a real chance of pruple Texas.

Y'know how we can tell them apart at a glance? One event is full of people. Just people. Random people. The other? Nearly uniform. A sea of red hats.

Always amazed at how uniformly white Trump's rallies are.
ragekritz
there's nothing to be amazed at it totally tracks

I just moved out of the town where this rally was held. The joke goes that you’d find more diversity at a klan rally.
Ganooballis
My dad grew up in super rural farmland Pennsylvania and never meshed with that scene so he got out early and for good. VonBonegrinder2290
But anyone who isn't they make sure to seat right behind the podium so they're in camera, so they can create a veneer of diverse support.
Strategicgnomer
Too dangerous to show up black, it's full of police.

I'm never amazed at how uniformly white Trump's rallies are.

His rallies can be like a new version of "Where's Wally", where you have to find the non-white person.

Not amazed at all, it's pretty obvious.
SavageDrums
Yeah, but the media tells us that he's doing well with black and Hispanic voters, so don't believe your lying eyes!

I mean its basically a Klan rally for the Grand Wizard. Anyone non-white standing there is as dumb as the rest of them.
