yeah he started criticizing israel which is part of why my tinfoil hat thinks this was a psy-op but I don't put much stock in it, especially considering the state of the CIA after the orange revealed documents and got a ton of them killed. The cia is also both incredibly competent AND incompetent - so who knows. Israel has the largest spy network in the world though.

I remember about a month or so after Mangione was arrested people were asking why we never hear about him anymore. After an arrest and before the trial there just really isn't that much going on. Both sides are making investigations and having discussions, but very privately. Just before trial we'll get some more news as pretrial motions start, which is where the Mangione case is right now.

An article from a few weeks ago said he made his first in-person court appearance, had not yet entered a plea to the charges, and a preliminary hearing is set for May of 2026. Slow going. Mangione's case is a bit farther along.

Of course they’re slow rolling it. They can’t fabricate evidence in short order like that. This also gives the public enough time to move onto the next thing and not follow along closely to realize they pinned it on some random kid. That and I’m sure his bail is sky high so he’ll sit in prison the entire time.
