Russian military is using Wildberries (the russian version of amazon) for logistics. Ukraine took notice and removed Wildberries (in Moscow) from existence.
Fun fact: Russian sellers working with the Wildberries platform have begun complaining en masse that they have been denied compensation. Meanwhile, according to the company's new policy, which took effect on July 7, Wildberries "is not liable for damages resulting from drone strikes or other military operations."
This reminds me of a Russian business owner going to court over war damages (which the Russian state supposedly covers) only to be told by the judges that since there wasn't a war going on (it's a "special military operation", after all), he wasn't entitled to anything.
None of them are even close to being able to making millions of drones per year and using them effectively, like Ukraine. Only Canada has the industrial base - but it's all directly at the border, so effectively useless. Cuba is on the fast track towards becoming a failed state at this point, with everything (including the power grid + other infrastructure) collapsing or already having collapsed. Industry is dead there. Greenland and Panama don't have the industrial base anyway.
I am in awe of the Ukraine and her people. All analysts thought the war would be over in a matter of weeks, and here we are four years later and Russia is arguably losing.
One of my favorite quotes from Leverage went something like "You want us to go against a guy called "The Butcher of Keiv."!? Have you BEEN to Keiv? The pastry chef of Keiv could kick all our asses!"
What the fuck would anyone be flying in Russia!? I wouldn't worry about Ukraine, I might worry about trigger happy air defense...but I'd be SHIT SCARED about the state of aircraft maintenance!
Typically if your transponder is up and running it's pretty easy to identify you as a friendly. But yeah I wouldn't do it either given ukraine has had a lot of success using modified light planes as drone bombers.
Worth mentioning that these schoolbus-sized satellites need to be specifically maneuvered into the right orbit and can only take photos for the brief moment in time they are above the desired area. You then need to wait for the next window of opportunity. If there's dense cloud cover, fog, smog, if the angle is wrong or many other things are happening, then you can't see nothing, at least in the visible spectrum. There's a reason spy planes and drones are preferred, if they can be used.
Fuuuu...., I don't wanna know, what exactly is burning there that gives such a thick smoke. Like tires or other heavier stuff. Wouldn't like to live downwind of that, too.
if it is similar to an Amazon warehouse/fulfillment centre there will be everything in it, every kind of material. especially if it is being used for the logistics and supply of the Russian army.
And everything Israel is doing, and Pakistan and Afghanistan having at it, and more data centers popping up everywhere, etc. etc. While we need to basically stop polluting altogether, dictators and tech freaks toss more and more wood on the fire. Not that this wasn't already known many decades ago. People with power just don't give a fuck. They'll be gone before the worst starts happening anyway. It's insane that a handful of people can steer our entire world to hell.
Imagine being a citizen at the beginning of the war, terrified of occupation, then their leader constantly kicks ass for five years, and how comfortable they must feel living in their country now.
While true, both geographically and technically, i think we can all agree he should be out of ALL of europe entirely lol. Cut russia's border down and fence him off, imo
Wait, do people not know that Moscow is in Europe? Basically the Ural Mountains are the dividing line, so everything to the West is on the European continent.
Apparently not a bunch of people here. LOL! And they also do not appear to have been here long enough to to get "technically correct is the best kind of correct" as a meme. Oh well. Can't win 'em all. Don't really care if I do.

I’ll say one thing about Wildberries, when you order an explosion to be delivered same day you get an explosion same day

I don't have Wildberries Prime membership, so I have to wait until I have over $35 worth of explosions in my cart for free delivery in 3-4 days. :-(

I really hope everyone has been paying attention to what Ukraine has been doing. We will need the very same tactics in the next year.

You must be american if you think $ is all it takes. The US is good at creating a hell of a mess. Winning wars? Not so much.
DdCno1
I never mentioned dollars. The topic was other nations replicating Ukraine's drone warfare. The nations mentioned can not do this.
robotrodriguez
Neither could Ukraine when they were first attacked.

This is why Drump outlawed Chinese drones.
