13. And finally I would like to share something from myself. I've been working very hard (in the past 8 months) on Stanley Parable-like game with a touch of GladOS from Portal. The demo is out now and it made to TOP 10 on Steam's demo trending tab! And it features witty signs like this one here. "What?", I hear you ask. "I can read funny signs for free?" YES, yes you can! Try it now on Steam and please wishlist: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2336120/Do_Not_Press_The_Button_To_Delete_The_Multiverse/
Thank you, and if this dump made you smile at least once, I am happy with it! : )

I played the demo. I am still here. The whole universe is still here. One star unsubscribe

#12 bad news, it's highly debatable whether they should be. They're still starving to death, they just...took them off the list. I hate to be THAT person, but I don't want anyone relaxing. Yall these guys are just... so majestic and gentle. It's breaking my heart to see them skinny out here. It's terrible.

#11 I'm putting off my taxes because for-profit institutions have lobbied to make it difficult and expensive when my developed neighbors don't have to deal with such parasites.
Moonthatspellsmoon
#1 I guess, but isn't that like saying "the U.S. has been hit by so many more waves than Japan tho" when the Japanese start talking about all the deadly tsunamis they've had to deal with?
Eli93
#1 but on the plus side: You killed John Wayne with your nukes!

#4 Honestly that's just quitter talk. Setup a DMZ in between the kitchen and living room where both food and tablets aren't allowed.

#2 ok, but seriously. Is there a canon/abandoned canon reason we don't see the "retract the blade" move more often with lightsabers? Asking as a more casual Star Wars fan who's never touched any of the books

#6 why is this drunk idiot trying to give a table the purple nurple?
ParanoidCarrot
#2 lore nerd here, in star wars lore if you lock sabres yoi cannot just switch yours off and then turn it on again, while locked to each other the sabres them selfs are like magnets that attract each other, and onse locked the power from the other is enough to keep the other one initialized
Hayashima
Extended Universe even has a name for the style: Tràkata
3RsReadingRitingRithmatic
Fair, but this looks like Trakata, which was a fan made lightsaber style. One could argue became canon when it was added to a WOTC RPG called Star Wars Saga Edition, until Disney did Disney stuff. https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Tr%C3%A0kata
Singlemother69
Plus... that's a forbidden move....
trigonman3
What if you use the Force to turn off your opponent's saber before it hits you?
Pyrowolf1
I would assume that all force users would keep a slight hold on their power button all the time to prevent this. Grip the saber with your mind just as you grip it with your hand.
NateintheNorth
If you have that much control, just squeeze the blood supply to their brain and they'll pass out in a second. Always wondered why Vader choked the air supply instead of blood; it'd be like a sleeper hold. The cruelty is probably the point.
Malak224
Watching it in slow motion the sabre is retracted before it touches the other one, it’s about halfway unignited before it would have hit the blade.

I’m kinda hating on him for having that whip. You might break the horse but at what cost. There’s other ways.

I didn't even notice. I guess I've seen too many cowboy movies

He’d probably be better off leaving that free. You know, for holding on.

US wins by more than 100 IIRC. We've lit off over 1000. I've been there. It is cool.

Blade & Sorcery, a VR game available on Steam and the Oculus store. They're running a mod called The Outer Rim. I'm not sure if the mod is available on the "Nomad" version of the game built for the Quest.
NateintheNorth
Unsure the video but the game is a modded Sword and Sorcery VR
Freakscar
And once you get the hang of it, basically any recording looks like that. Well, minus the lightsabers, those are from a mod.
NateintheNorth
Just fixed my Valve Index (brought it to school during COVID [yes, it got disinfected each time] and the cord connection got bent, the cable was $130) I haven't played S&S much, felt a little sick before, needed to get my VR legs. I plan on checking it out again.

#1 - There are only two countries that have nuked another country: US and UK. Every other country has only nuked themselves. (UK tested some of their nukes in Australia.)
RoutemasterFlash
The USSR sure as hell irradiated a lot of other countries, though.
MageEpic
Yes and no, it would be like if the USA broke up and saying USA irradiated the countries of Nevada and New Mexico. The countries joined the USSR and essentially became states, so the USSR still bombed itself.
RoutemasterFlash
I was referring to the Chernobyl disaster, which released a radiation cloud that covered pretty much the whole of Europe: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chernobyl_disaster#Release_and_spread_of_radioactive_materials
MageEpic
Ahh my mistake, I thought you were just referring to nuclear weapons testing
RoutemasterFlash
No, it's fine, I should have said.
ToasterDent
Someday, Australia will return the favor.
chameleon102
Nukes were the only thing that could kill Australia's apex predators. You're welcome.
IJE72
France?
RoutemasterFlash
Yes, France did nuclear tests in Algeria, but I think it was still a French colonial territory at that time.

#11 I don't do my taxes because they're done for me. Every year I get a letter saying "this is how much we are going to pay you back. Send this code to this number to confirm".

You must live in a country with a functioning health care system too
CaptainWeaselFox
Yes. Common to misconceptions, there are other countries outside of the USA
RoutemasterFlash
I live in the UK. Taxes for any non-self-employed person are done like this. I couldn't honestly say we have a functioning healthcare system at present, though.
ToasterDent
Ah, well the Tories are self-destructing at the moment (from my outside point of view), perhaps if Labour gets in they can get it straightened out. Somebody needs to, when doctors and nurses go on strike you know things have def gone wrong.
RoutemasterFlash
I fucking hope so. The Labour leader is being so infuriatingly timid, though. The party has such a huge poll lead that now would be an ideal time to be bold and come up with some policies that are actually different from the bollocks we've put up with over the past 14 years, not just a variation on a theme.
acridweasel
It ain't great, but I'm a diabetic who is neither in debilitating debt or dead, so some of it is functioning well enough. For now.
RoutemasterFlash
But Jesus Christ on dayglo space-hopper, it needs fixing.
acridweasel
Yes, I'm sure a few more years of Tory evisceration will reinvigorate things...
