Balloon decided?

so brave :'(

I've got a hunch that when the arrow is removed, that balloon is gonna bleed out rather quickly.

Most balloons would not pop by an arrow, especially low inflated ones. Put some balloons up for kids at my archer club for an open door day

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

This only applies to arrows which come with "sharpened shaft" kinda end rather than triangle-looking end, yes? Pardon my French

" It's just flesh wound."

Did the balloon pee a little?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Forget I asked this question- I assumed its gender as a water balloon.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When innanimate objects start taking decisions in when the world ends...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why do you have a metal washer on your target?

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

It looks like the washer held the balloon on the target.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I hear push pins work just as well. But those are just alternate facts.

THIS IS ME NOW

Dummy, balloons can't decide things. Next you'll be telling us a woman decided to be a man..

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You're a Witch!!!! Burn 'em!!!!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Almost messed up your arrow with that washer. Probably could just use a tack

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Elasticity sealed it closed. Like a pristine unused butthole.

9 years ago | Likes 869 Dislikes 4

Not that you know.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not true. It decided not to burst. Can't you just support the decisions of a white balloon? You wouldn't say this if it was black

Or like that guys suit in the martian

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

His suit sealed from blood pooling and coagulating, not elasticity.

Fun fact: humans are deuterostomes meaning the first body part we develop in the womb is an anus. At one point, we were all nothing but anus

he ded. u just watch he die

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is actually a pretty cool demonstration of why arrows were kinda shitty in warfare, seal the wounds they make, rarely killing quickly1/

9 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 5

The fuck are you talking about. Crossbows pierced. Bows tore people apart. Y arrowheads and A arrowheads left huge gaping wounds.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's what arrowheads are for. Only the shittiest of arrows were just a sharpened stick

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

even with an arrowhead the majority of the wound was stopped up by the shaft, arrows rarely make a through and through

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

That's why bladed arrow heads were much wider than the arrow shaft.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

okay but take that same wound and compare it to a stab by any other weapon which is open the whole way through and inside

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah but you can't hit someone a hundred feet away with a sword.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Expanding from the scope of a single battle to the scope of a war, wounded can be worse than dead. Dead is a lost soldier, wounded is 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A lost soldier who also requires care and resources 2/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2/2 often leading to my erect penis in many cases

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I counter that argument with the Battle of Agincourt.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

A lot of the french knights got straight up shived when they got stuck in the mud too.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Twas arrows that knocked them there. I credit them with the kill.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean sure but you're talking about volley after volley to enemies trapped in the mud, it takes ten arrows to do the work of one spear 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

obviously arrows had use, I'm just saying the lethality of a single arrow was pretty questionable 2/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sure, but that doesn't make them "shitty"

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah most of those guys were killed with hand weapons.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

*finished off

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You realize that the English only had 1,500 men-at-arms in that battle, yes? With the remaining 7,000 comprised of longbowmen.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Who still had hand weapons.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sure. But that's not what won the battle.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There's a difference between, a sealed hole in your arm, vs 10 in your chest cavity.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Very true. But kill they did.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

eventually you'll probably die from infection but you'll likely finish the battle with an arrow or two in you 2/2

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Tell that to the Mongols.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can confirm. I used to be an adventurer like you but then I took an arrow to the knee

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

As a deer hunter, I have to disagree about the speed at which an arrow can dispatch a large animal.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

my understand was that in many cases bow hunting requires tracking the kill after the first shot because it runs away, though I confess 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've never done it myself, I will also point out that a human in armor ready for a battle is different from an unsuspecting deer, also I 2/3

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

assume you have more time to line up your shot on a still target than a combat archer might but I've never done either so maybe not 3/3

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Unless it hit something incredibly vital

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

even then you can stab someone while you have a pierced lung or kidney, you might not last the hour though

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have killed many deer with an arrow to the lungs. They fill up with blood and the animal dies quickly.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

what's quickly? cause a guy with a sword can do a lot of damage in a minute or two, though I'm no expert on lung damage

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was thinking more like the face or heart, but you are correct

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I challenge you to make that argument after being shot with it...Lol not really

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Quick, slap him across the chops with your glove

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean fair point, it's not a pleasant sensation but you're still gonna be rage swinging your axe for at least a few more minutes

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Agreed but the true beauty of arrows is sticking them I to targets that are far away.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

and that's why they were used despite having a low individual lethality

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0
