I KNEW there was a reason we were keeping Trump, MTG, Lauren Boebert, and Jim Jordan around! And for those who notice a bias by only naming corrupt ass GOP stooges, I got you - We've got Bruce Jenner in the wings, too!
It is Fagradalsfjall, September 2021.. I was there circa 2 weeks prior to this footage. These bigger eruptions lasted around 2-3 weeks. We were incredibly lucky to have seen it. These people are standing a bit too close though. It was not that dangerous when it comes to explosions, but the gases that could have been brought around by wind were a much bigger danger.
We spent a lot of time following the evolution of "Bob" as it was initially dubbed, as well as its offshoots. Learned a lot about Iceland from the coverage, including from the former Editor-in-Chief of Reykjavik Grapevine, Valur Grettisson.
I hope ill never be close to an active volcano. Not for obvious reason, like not wanting to end up mumified masturbating like that one dude at pompei, but because i would, sure as hell, have had irresistable urge to get just so fucking close to that slow moving blob, probably would even try to pet it with my shoe or something
If the magma bubbles up outside the volcano rim and becomes lava but falls back into the volcano rather than outside of it, does it become magma again?
Damn that's a hard choice, never tried to pick one before. On one hand, high silica lavas make them big 'splosions with lots of devastation. But basaltic lavas you can approach (see op) and they make cool lava tubes. Including my Hawaiian ancestry, I'll have to choose basalt.
Some say the world will end in Fire, some say basalt. From what I've tasted of desire, I hold with those who'd favor Fire. But, if there was a Parish vault, I think I'd know enough of hate.. to know that (for destruction), found at fault, basalt is one people may exalt.

But it takes a lot to make them go away. The stupid ones, anyway.

Worked out pretty well for Pompeii. They had a big volcanic eruption and then like 1900 years later Pink Floyd filmed a concert there.

On Lanzarote they roast meat on skewers over volcanic vents. Nature's air fryer.

No, too many added toxins. Turns out lava is actually poisonous.
