There are other good ones but nothing as good before, nothing but pretenders after, all striving for that perfection while Miyamoto looks on proudly at what he hath wrought. But all joking aside, it truly is the ultimate peak of its specific genre. Only when played on hardware connected in analog to a good crt, of course. Modern input latency kills it.

I thought they were talking about the second ending for the ghost house in the second section. Where you unlock the level with a Yoshi and fire flowers and capes.
