Does being decent mean that the fight against fledgling fascist forces will take longer or cost more? It's a good question. A fair question.
The honest answer is, I don't know. But, while there is still a path to save our country that doesn't result in millions dying in an ideological war promoted by people who have always hated this country, I prefer decency over madness.

I mentioned this on another post, but Graham was one of those guys who was just charismatic enough that a lot of people in Congress who knew him personally were blinded by that fact, and those of us who don't know him are in a better position to judge him because of that.
Always beware people who use charisma to win their battles, because you will miss something if you let them do that to you.

here let me help the dumbass elected dems with a basic template: The unfortunate reality of the world is that politically malicious individuals are capable of being very decent in a social setting. While the experience of working and interacting with [that guy] was often pleasant, the political behavior of him ultimately cannot be separated. I may miss the social interactions and be thankful for them, but I am fully committed to opposing his political agenda, and his death cannot end that work.

But this is for everyone: Politically malicious and arguably evil people can be rather friendly and fun people to be around if you focus only in the social moment and ignore everything they've been standing for. This is a known issue, and important to not forget evil walks among us with friendly chat and social pleasantries. Malicious and evil people are not like that at all times, and if we don't recognize that we'll fail to see their malice coming.
