#8 and #9 felt off to me, but I only call those three out because the rest are literally indistinguishable from some places in America. Thug Life dude is too hipster for this. The bat wrapped in barbed wire has a very “’80s inner-city gang drama” Hollywood vibe. It actually reminds me most, in vibe, of Wheeler’s segment of the Captain Planet theme song, burning trash can and chain whip in a non-existent New York City alley. But the dudes in leather jackets seem most off to me, dunno why.

Guns per captia and guns per household are very different. The majority of guns in America are owned by 1/3 of the population. The same 1/3 that voted for Trump. Liberals are trying to arm up, but it's difficult without pouring more money into groups like the NRA.

Not sure how. Yes its only about 1/3rd the population own guns personally. But you can see a substantial number of that 3rd are left leaning. Its MORE LIKELY that a white rural man has a gun but 1 in 5 leftists own a gun and 1/2 of right wingers. There is 38.8 million registered GOP and 49 million Dems. Doing the math that is gonna be nearly 20 million right gun owners and 10 million left wing. There is a gap but again nowhere near as dire as it seems.

Imagine impro-theatering your own telenovela. This is definitely one of the more interesting settings for it and , believe it or not, they actually try to approach it respectfully and not as a great big satire. For example, the organizers asked to not bring confederate flags or similar symbols, without running it through with them first. It is allowed if it is a deliberate part of displaying a racist or far right character, but is not welcome as gratuitous deco.

It works, due to a strong rooted cultural americaphilia in the former soviet influence sphere (which was a bit of a counter culture. In Poland, the cowboy even became somewhat of a symbol of the struggle for independence, iirc.), a familiarity due to media exposure and the obvious crumbling of the mirage of the american dream.
As someone else put it here, it's not that different than Americans LARPing medieval europeans. There is a romantic place for it in the american cultural consciousness>
