So much so! When I first started having constant anxiety attacks I was too nauseous to hardly hold water down. I was so weak from lack of food/sleep/water. The nausea meds made it so I could get enough food and such in me to be able to start getting the help I needed to find out what was going on.

The most ironic moment of my life involved Zofran. Going through chemo, pre-meds we Zofran, an anti-nausea med, and a steroid through my PICC line. After the third time, I started to feel nauseated after the drugs where hooked up to me. Couldn't figure out which was making me feel that way, but it could never be the Zofran. Well, one day, the steroid wasn't ready but they hooked up the Zofran to me. I asked the nurse for a tub about 5 mins in 1/

and proceeded to vomit the ever living shit out of the stew I had for dinner before the treatment. While I was throwing up, I was laughing like a mad man. Nurse asked me if I was okay, with that hint of "I think he's crazy" tone, and I told her that I am fine, just the irony of what's going on was the best. The IV Zofran made me vomit more so than chemo did. She did not appreciate the irony and absurdity as much as me. But I do love me some dissolvable Zofran.

I have oddly, had the same reaction to IV Zofran, not every time, but on occasion that same thing has happened. I was laid up for a skin infection, was unable to sit, or laydown on my back because of it, pain was immense, they were giving me IV Dilaudid for pain, but because of how i had to laydown, i would get nauseous a few mins after the shot. sometimes the IV zofran would trigger the vomiting, never with the dissolvable tabs though. good thing it doesn't taste like complete garbage.

They won't. During chemo I was vomiting multiple times a day, was malnourished, hospitalized for low potassium, and at risk of my organs shutting down (this was before we found nausea meds that worked).
Pair that with a child? If they weren't tube fed they'd die, they'd have to stop chemo if the child wasn't strong enough too.
