Legs look like a cartoon character's...

This is the one I would fear turning into a sprinting zombie in movies lol

Daphne doesn't run, she pursues.

Heck yeah. DK Metcalf. 6'4", and can hit just under 23MPH. Dude's a monster.

Holy hell Daphne.

The bird is pointed into a headwind and maintaining forward momentum equal to that headwind.

Ah! Thank you for posting this. I was trying to find it a while ago

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

anyone have that one race of hers from a while back? Where she starts slow but her top speed wins it?

Daphne Gump, granddaughter of Forest.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Look at how still his head is.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I have to wear a nose strip and breathe with my mouth open just to live

4 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Everyday functional can't imagine how much your daily struggle must kill, and with time and effort maybe, but it took a loot extra. 2/2

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That always held me back in boxing, so-so technique great durability, but had to work wayy harder at the oxygen part. 1/2

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Imagine being out for a jog, hearing an odd sound behind you, looking over your shoulder, and seeing Daphne streaking toward you.

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

You're walking in the woods, There's no one around and your phone is dead. Out of the corner of your eye you spot her. Daphne.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

ON YOUR LEFT!

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

GEEZ! One misstep? she’ll fly backwards & be on Uranus!

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

or hers

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

When I walk on a treadmill I regularly hit the sides and stumble. If I tried this I can't even imagine the carnage that would ensue.

4 years ago | Likes 153 Dislikes 0

Go outside (if you can), treadmills are more useless garbage put on this planet

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Maybe we should fear you instead of Daphne.

4 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 0

Maybe they should make a video!

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Are you okay?

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Yea, just clumsy

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I agree. I can’t comfortably set it above a jog without fear of my life.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

That’s what the hanging straps are for. So you’d be ok.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My guess is, she is small

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Person who crushed on her in high school practicing to escape.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

T'was a video showing a tall dude running at the same speed as her. Looked slo-mo. She is short as hell. Appearances deceive.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wow she must be going 30 speed

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Enjoy it while you can Daphne. I once was able to run fast too.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

But how fast is she going? And how many strides per minute here?

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

more than 19. She’s the last individual in this

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

agreed... I used to be able to do around 16-18mph and she looks like she'd be a lot faster than I was

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

30 speed

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Other videos show her at 19 mph. And if my calculations are correct, her stride per minute is = a lot.

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 4

Daaaamn, Daphne… back at it again with the fast hands

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Gimme this one with the other runners not cut out

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Awesome. Thanks.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I remembered this one too. Is she a college athlete or Olympian or something? Just curious how she stacks up against others

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

She's a high school softballer.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Softball??? Wtf does she need to run like that for? I’m assuming she used to run track then?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

She's got to be in college by now. The one of her on the treadmill in this thread is from an old team video at least a couple years old now.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The videos of her were first posted in early 2021. She was 15 at the time.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Do you have a source on the age? I've found Newsweek, Runners World, [...] articles (from Mar 2021) with no mention of age. Thanks.

He runs fast good

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Tom Cruise sprints like a champ.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Just wondering, why not slowly progress to that speed rather than start off on it?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

To train the the muscles/twitch reflex to respond accordingly. You don't get to "slowly progress" to your top speed when competing.

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Ahh gotcha! Cool, thanks for commenting

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Was wondering the same!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don’t let Tom Cuise See her

The underworld movies had a cool one where they ran on some carpet looking thing while a car pulled it. Pretty cool scene

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

what am i looking at

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

IIRC it's a speedrunning rig for when Captain America runs into battle in Endgame. Or something like that.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Captain America's stunt double

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Looks like practice for an avengers scene where capt'merica actor is getting assisted/pulled by a cabble on his belly so he can be faster.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Looks like Captain Americas stuntdouble practicing

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I like to think that prehistoric animals saw something similar to this in their final moments, when they were too tired to run anymore.

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

It was more of a slow steady jog that never stopped. No escape during the day or at night. The hunter always slowly closing in on you.

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

That's even scarier.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It Follows, Miocene Edition.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Look how still her head is. She has amazing form.

4 years ago | Likes 689 Dislikes 5

I saw a clip of her on a track at the end of a vid like this, and she SMOKES the field.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

A little perspective.

4 years ago | Likes 51 Dislikes 0

Can't even keep mine like that when standing still

4 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 0

I did… once

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Spliced with hamster dna

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

She could probably read a book

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's because she's on a treadmill - it probably would be moving forward otherwise

4 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 0

Watch the evolution of her arm movement as well. Very far away from the body to start into close controlled motion against her sides

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

She has the hunger. For the flesh of the WEAK!!

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It really helps her track her prey.

4 years ago | Likes 179 Dislikes 0

Probably related to actual cannibal Shia Lebouf

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Daphne doesn’t like to be fed, she likes to hunt.

4 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 0

Ultimate pursuit predator!

Like a chicken ?

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Pigeons do it pretty well too.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a lifelong runner, she has fantastic form. When I sprint, I have a similar form for short distances, usually around a quarter mile.

4 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

She keeps her back and neck straight which is great for spinal loading. So many people jog bent over at the hips while looking at the ground

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I've seen too many people looking down as they run and collide with parked cars, poles, other people and much more.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

What are the hanging straps for?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Last time they left Daphne without them, she broke the wall and lacerated the janitor on the other side while getting lost in the distance.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've only seen it used in body weight support training for neurological rehab, like relearning to walk again, or after leg trauma.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Maybe she wants to use that to work on specific muscles only as she runs.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Her vision is based on movement... I'll get my coat.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I love these types of observations! We found a runner in the comments!!!

4 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 6

I should have been. As a very insecure teen, I didn't realise how fast I was. I could have held a state or national record.

4 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 5

Whereas I never had the makings of a varsity athlete.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well go be the best damn non teen runner on the planet!

4 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

And you could have caught them. Caught them all. Every last one, until they were dead. All of them.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

could also be a massage therapist, physical therapist ect too. we tend to pay attention to form and gait and analyze posture all the time

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I’ll bet you $10 you are also an athlete!! Spotted the athlete!

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

closest i got was farm life growing up.. that counts for weight lifting or something right? oh and some dance classes in my 20s :)

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

i wish i was more athletic but i am way to much of a book worm when I am not working!

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Athlete ^. I refused to identify as an athlete until a pulmonologist said “you are the prefect subject for this test- you are an athlete.”
