Scale has been adjusted to a range of 7.8 to 8 on 4/10/2020 due to continued spread within the United States, and multiple states implementing quarantine procedures enforced with fines.
It is worth noting that at a national, FORCED quarantine (not suggestion), the scale would stop at 8 unless widespread supply chain disruption occurs.

If you are in a state or country with a mandated (not suggested) quarantine, the scale would be an 8. Not leaving unless getting groceries, but shelves are still full.

In germany the numbers of every federal state are centrally collected daily & reported. Sometimes states report too late that day or

have to correct their numbers. Those corrections are added to the numbers of the next day. Dunno if this is universal

MT may be ok, they reacted swift and strong. Cases peaked at <1000 if I remember, with decent testing coverage.

Not encouraging blind optimism, but MT seems to have fared as well as could be hoped in all this.
