Excluding the 2004 presidential election, the last time the GOP won the majority of the popular vote was 1988, 36 years ago. They have RINO’d and shrunk their appeal to the point where they need to play dirty to win. They’ve make it a part of their culture that to win, they have to try to suppress the vote, to win by subtraction.
Every time the government gets shut down, the GOP is the cause and the GOP rightfully gets the blame. And doing this before an election is another boneheaded move.

Put that in context though: 1988 George Bush Sr. won the popular vote by a Yo Mama margin - a fucking landslide. 1992 & 96 Bill Clinton. 2000 Bush Jr sort of won the E College but definitely not the pop vote but in 2004 he did have the pop vote by just under 51%. Then 2 terms of Obama, then the Orange years. So basically the popular vote has been lockstep with the presidency, although if you'd believe the lazy Dems who couldn't get off their asses to vote in 2016 Republicans never have it.

The little research that I did about that is that he is able to vote in Florida because he isn't physically in jail in New York.

Since he hasn't been sentenced he can't have completed all the provisions set forth so he wouldn't be allowed to vote in Florida but yeah he can always have the rules changed for him.

It is my understanding that Florida defers to the state of prosecution with regards to whether or not a convicted felon like TFG can vote and, since NY allows convicted felons like the TFG to vote, then Florida will allow the convicted felon to vote.
