She wanted an overhaul mod for her favorite game that took up more space than she had. I uninstalled a bunch of stuff but it still wasn’t enough (tiny 500GB M2), so I got her a replacement drive. It was more work to clone it because of the setup, but she’s better off this way. It just never seems to be enough.
Someone posted a “the way men love” post the other day that really hit me hard. Women think we’re being goofy or they just don’t get it most of the time.

Yeah, I dislike these posts for the generalizations they welcome. There are many inconsiderate, ungrateful people regardless of gender. There are many hardworkers who would appreciate a little appreciation and kindness across genders. I get that the men who relate to this meme want to express themselves, too, but I'm also annoyed that the general message is that "women are ungrateful" or "men aren't appreciated" and people see it and think it's true across the board

I guess it's because imgur is so male, it's constantly full of how men are mistreated. With of course the implication that it's women mistreating them. This is a huge cultural problem. There's an expectation for women to be the default domestic worker, and for men to be the default provider for financial and emotional support. Both of these expectations come with it a assumption that it should be done without question or recognition. A main difference is that for women the praise is usually done on the front end whereas for men they might never get it until, as many people pointed out, during their funeral and sometimes not even that.

It's not about the pervert comment so much as the juxtaposition between the sex worker who doesn't like her family vs. the perverts who aren't liked by their family. It implies that there's something inherently wrong with the guys that makes their family not want to be around them whereas with the sex worker the reason she isn't around her family is because she doesn't like them and not the other way around. I mean, I think the people who pay for sex work have a responsibility to ensure that the workers they hire are doing it consentually and not under threat of violence, and I think there are many people who do not do anything to ensure that, and those people are monsters.
Not saying that's the case here, or that all are monsters, but I know plenty of people who have paid for sex workers when they know that person has a pimp who beats them.
