We should use a new term or definition to describe the semi auto "sporting rifles" that are like 99% as good as full auto or burst fire.
"common sense gun control" is a better term imho. Background checks for private sales, more thorough checks all around. I'm not an expert.
"Assault weapons" means different things to everyone, that's why politicians use it to mean "scary guns".
