I would say, I've heard a lot of trans people share that they are FINALLY looking like themselves after hrt and/or surgeries. Knowing someone is finally happy looking in the mirror makes me feel so happy for them. So it's not the whole deal but it is a big deal.

Right, no, what I mean is that I want to broaden the acceptance of changing how one looks even to cases of "mere vanity". I recognize that altering bust size serves a purpose in treating gender dysmorphia beyond simple, personal preference. That said, one can be a man with breasts or a woman without; it is, in a sense, still "just cosmetic". And breast reduction even for cisgendered men may be considered gender-affirming surgery. There's a lot of overlap, and my point is we should accept it all.

Oh, most definitely. Dysmorphia is awful and awfully common. But it's the shallowest part of it and not understanding that (because that wasn't the narrative i was taught growing up) is part of what delayed my own egg cracking to such a ridiculous degree. "Want" isn't the heart of it. It's something you undeniably are, even if you *really* wish you weren't. If i'd understood that sooner i'd have saved myself a lot of years of pain and emptiness.
