If Im looking to spend 2-4k on a guitar, Im gonna try it out. If I try a few but don’t buy any, I’ll stock up on picks and strings and other shit just to support the business.
I would save $1-2 on every item if I bought online, but I really appreciate my awesome local retailer!
I do not do the same for guitar center - they dont even out new strings on used guitars lol
This. So much this. We lost our local music store here where I live and that just sucks. Maybe most of all because the old timers used to hang there and tell great stories about their music careers. Now where do they go? I have no idea but I worry about them.

I just counted and realized I have four sets of electric guitar strings and four sets of acoustic guitar strings from doing this overtime
I really need to change my strings more !

It's almost like underwear, strings: swap them out for fresh ones often, and invest in good ones bc the last longer and feel infinitely better
