Do you have something you're avoiding doing that an activation phrase would work? ๐Ÿ˜‚

I had a coworker who was a senior in high school the year the Royals won the World Series (2015). I'd been out of college for a year. She told me that and I was like NOPE DON'T LIKE THAT

Also I apparently saw a raven a few years ago, took a picture, and did not in fact know that's what I saw until three years later ๐Ÿ˜‚

Crows are the biggest backyard birds here, so they're definitely not gonna register as "kinda small" without anything to compare them to

We don't have ravens here so every "wow, that's a big black bird!" Is really just a crow, so I think a raven would have to merit a "holy shit, that's the biggest bird I've ever seen" for me to recognize it

I don't know, I've always said happy birthday when handing things to people (specifically when it's trash, which always confuses them). I also had a phase where if something disappeared and I was asked where it was, my response was "I ate it."

That's fair. I've only been to California once, so I don't actually know, but that meme made me snort so I kept it ๐Ÿ˜‚

I apparently saw one in Yosemite, took a picture of it, and didn't even realize that's what it was until THREE YEARS LATER. I don't even know if I can count that for my life list.

I knit but I cannot count. And that is why I don't crochet. I only have to count when I cast on or after I've lost track of increases/decreases. Crochet is all counting

I use y'all cuz I taught in low-income schools for ten years and my coworkers used it all the time. But it's a very handy word that should be much more commonly used.

Yeah, it does. I didn't make it though, I just stole it

#20 are there SMART golden retrievers?

Oh my life is pretty great all things considered, but mostly because I learned a long time ago that nothing is ever actually under control, and when I need to feel like something IS controllable, I clean. It works pretty well.

Sometimes! It's the "wait that was words what did I hear" option and it's occasionally correct, and *sometimes* I can access it before I say, "huh?"

I can hear this one perfectly before I even unmute it and I love it

For a Vulcan yeah

Oh I've given up thinking anything will ever be under control and life is way better for it. I can control me. Mostly. (Hurray adhd)

I'm not a writer but I couldn't help but screenshot that one when I saw it. It just cracked me up

Even better: Gordon Ramsey is on tumblr

Yeah really by 35 I think you should just have more or less accepted that you're not actually in control and just decide to go along for the ride

Makes it way easier to be flexible

Not included in this meme is the fact that birdwatching goes both ways.

Yeah, I can't handle inside temps over 74ยฐ during the day and it has to be 62-68ยฐ at night

In elementary school, yes. Stupid is a bad word. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

Don't see how encouraging people to do good things is pro-right but ok. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

#20 this is genuinely how it is though. It's why I trained my class on "what are silly questions" (because stupid is a bad word).
Top of the list was usually, "what do I do with this?" *holds up trash they found on the floor*

The "serious consequences" that motivate me are typically more in the "I'll look incompetent or unreliable" vein
