Their recent policy re-write on trans people is vile. Much like the "revelation" in 2015 that was reversed 4 years later by yet another "revelation" it's repugnant - the idea that LDS is anything other than an enemy of LGBTQ people is laughable, albeit bitterly.

As for the idea that someone with "same sex attraction" should aim for a "mixed orientation marriage" the thing that's never talked about is the partner & the resulting kids, & the devastating effects that'll inevitably have on them.

I think the issue is he sees the word "wealth" and thinks it'd be a smart business move to get in on...

They're probably going to aim to bring it back as a weight loss supplement to be "anti-big-pharma".

:) yup, pretty much, on the damned front. It's hideous all around. I know some applications got the hell out of the US as much as was possible when the reversal of Roe happened.

Much better prediction of next cycle, and with some of them, highlighting of potential health problems. You usually input symptoms and it'll point out if some are getting worse/more problematic - patterns you generally don't notice month on month.

I think it's the sunk cost fallacy thing. Even if she just muttered to herself "I'm right, everyone is wrong, I'm not going to win this one, isn't the world shit" she'd save herself some, but she can't stop doubling down. She *is* wrong and behaving atrociously, but there is very little chance she'll shut up.

Sadly.

He's desperately looking for a convenient and proven group to blame for the consequences of every piece of shite policy they've put in place for the last 14 years. It's panic. Sick people living on subsistence level benefits are a target that works, time and time again, and he's desperate.

I'm so sorry. I don't know how you do it, and thank you so much for your determination.

This bunch of c**ts veer between incompetence & malevolence, & it's beyond vile. The current c**t in #10 is desperately looking for a Daily Fail approved dog whistle; I dearly hope & dream that his investment fund fails, he develops intractable depression and has to attempt to apply for PIP. It would be a fitting end.

I hope you get seen soon xxx

I'm so sorry for your loss - that must have been and continue to be horrendous. Sending hugs from random stranger on the internet.

Insecurity & a big dose of seeing their partner as property. Lots are charming for the 1st few years, then the abuse starts.

Senile is the kindest way to put it. To quote a friend, personality disorder NOS (meets too many dx criteria for too many to isolate one).

Unfortunately not necessarily. Having been like that temporarily, nowt would've made a difference. Mood disorder was probably the issue.

Or a heart attack; I'm guessing his blood pressure is shit, & I can't see him agreeing to take the required meds... Fingers & toes crossed.

They're now doing fairly extensive (and very promising) trials on DBS for treatment resistant depression. Not in the UK, sadly.

I'm so sorry - no-one deserves that. Your mom was completely out of order. I hope you're at least stabilised, if not well.

Just occurred to me now that we never hear about the positive outcomes, just the horror stories.
